I will preface this review by saying that so far in my lifetime I have had less than stellar experience at various businesses but this is the first time I have ever been compelled to write an online review-It was that bad. My large group of friends booked a tournament with this course for 9 holes. Upon arrival we found out there was another tournament group teeing off right after us and because of the Marshall system in place at this course we tee’d off 10 minutes late. Due to this late tee off and the tournament behind our tournament we were rushed through the whole course. My group specifically was policed and rushed the whole time by the Marshall and was even made to skip holes. Now we are not the best golfers but as it is an open course and anyone can use the course to play our beginner status should not have mattered and we should have been allowed to play at a pace appropriate for us without being made to rush to accommodate more experienced players especially as we paid the full $65 and did not have a $65 experience. If their time per hole is so limited they should only allow club members or very experienced players on their course instead of demeaning beginner players. After completing the course I went to the clubhouse to complain to the manager and not only were they unapologetic but they obviously did not care at all and assured me this was standard practice at every golf course. I have been to at least 2-3 other golf courses and never experienced this, my friends held this same tournament at a different course last year and it went off without a hitch and no one policing or rushing the less experienced players. At one point one of my friends got hit in the face and had a bleeding nose and as we assisted her to clean her up etc. The Marshall was telling us to hurry up and move on. So to sum it all up, they over scheduled their course for the day and even though we brought lots of people/money to their course they did not care about accommodating in any way shape or form and really was just rude. I’m sure if you are an experienced player and are quick at each hole you would have a lovey time here but anyone else may as well spend your money else where.

I played this course last Sunday, and was disappointed to say the least. For the price point, GPS should be standard in the golf cart. Seemed like every second hole was a huge dog-leg left. I’m sure I will golf here again, but not this year...on the positive note, the snack shack was top notch...with great selection and made to order burgers.

Heritage Pointe is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this season and I have been playing it since year 1. Very challenging 27 hole course (Desert, Heritage and Pointe 9's). Course is always in nice condition. Excellent practice area. Staff are always friendly and courteous. Keep up the great work.

I have not played this course for years. Price is one factor. At one time they had great deals but now, not so much. At one time, cart path only golf and you need a cart combined with lighting fast greens meant for a slow round. But 90 degree rule with the carts and the greens are only modesty fast but on the other hand, much more playable then before. We were late teeing off and had anticipated a long round. We finished the front nine is just under two hours. As with any 27 hole course, the back nine was slower but after long waits on one, two and three, it speed up to an acceptable 2:20. Friendly marshals who were all over the place and one reason the course did bog down. Would apologize for the "slowness" on the back nine. The post round food was decent and moderately priced. I love the variety of holes on the Pointe 9 and the Desert 9 is fun. Have not played the Heritage 9 for years and was told by the staff it can be painfully slow. The only deduction is for the greens that as noted are quite playable but part of the "fun" was to have terror in your heart if you short sided yourself or found yourself on the wrong part of the green and that is a .1 deduction. The other thing is at one time it was "the" course but now with Wintergreen, D'Arcy and Glen Eagles to name a few, it is one of many nice courses. But, the price is a little high but the others have now caught up with them.

The golf course is always in great shape with some of the fastest greens in Alberta. The practice facility is excellent, with a great three hole warm up facility. You could spend an entire day working on all facets of your game. Great place!
