Brewery tasting and tour

We had an excellent time at Big Rock! Tatenda was very knowledgeable and friendly. We left with a much better idea of the brewing process and the scope of Big Rock beers.

We were 6 friends that did the beer tour on Saturday afternoon, Nov 26 @ 1:30pm. The tour guide Colin was great and he is also a brewmaster at Big Rock. His knowledge of the process is amazing, informative and interesting !!!!! After the tour we were given the opportunity to taste/sample a number of beers in the tasting room... More

We had an excellent afternoon sampling Big Rock Brewery beers and ciders. Their tasting room was warm and inviting with beautiful art work on the walls. The tour of the brewing process was interesting and informative. Our tour guide, Colin G. was friendly and humorous. Well worth the trip!

My friends and I were in town for a Chicago Blackhawks game. They are DIE HARD beer drinkers! They found Big Rock Brewery on trip advisor. The tour was a great time. Very interesting and they have some of the best beer. It was well worth 25$. The staff were all friendly and know their beer. Dan did our tour... More

In town and so glad we went on the brewery tour. Thanks to all the staff and Dan our tour guide. A wealth of information and much larger brewery than we thought. Great beers to sample. What a fun night with meeting everyone in our tour group.

My review is for the restaurant alone. I have not visited any of the other facilities of this attraction. The restaurant is open only during work days for lunch, which is unfortunate because they serve an amazing fare of Germanic food and modern continental cuisine, and I would love to come here more often. It is a bit out of... More

Eclectic menu, high-quality food, well-prepared and beautifully presented. There was a good-sized bunch of us, so, among us, we sampled many of the beers on offer, and had several different lunch entrees. Everyone left, VERY happy!

My girlfriend and I went for a brewery tour. Our guide was Adam. He was knowledgeable and friendly. There is a lot more to the Big Rock brewery than I had previously believed. I would recommend the tour to everyone!

The staff at Big Rock are great. The tour is very informative, but the pre and post tour tasting is what sets this apart. The guide we had was a brewmaster. So during that tasting, he provided details about the flavors and brewing process for each beer that was greta.

Their beers rate an even 5 for excellence. The site is friendly, the tour interesting, and the food pedestrian. It is located in an industrial zone, which is appropriate, but its not near anything else of interest. They broke on the scene as a microbrewery with just 4 beers, the number one an ale called Traditional. It is still their... More
