Lovely scenery and lazy float on river. There are areas for all level of white water rafting for water sports enthusiasts. Bow Falls are worth a visit - wide and tumbling.

I walked along the river from Centre Street all the way to Fort Calgary. It took about 20 minutes. Watch out for the Canadian Goose poop on the walkway!

Seems like everywhere you go in Alberta, you see the Bow River. Because of the winter melt, it was flowing quite rapidly, and in some areas it was out of the banks. There is plenty to do along the Bow. A lot of green space,...More

Loved this river and the great falls roaring along. Lovely pics and great visit ! Well worth it for the views all along the river and go to the high point for pics. Catch a rainbow in your pics of the water spray.

The Bow is a gem that runs through the city of Calgary. Outside the rainy season the water is a beautiful blue/green colour and it runs slow enough for families, friends and just about anyone to float down on rafts. The water is pretty cold...More

To see the Bow Rive in its spendor, take the Bow Valley Parkway. The Bow Valley Parkway is worth the drive for the splendid scenery. I understand there is wildlife abundant in the area, but we only encountered a couple of elk...which were beautiful. The...More

The Bow River runs through the city and is accessible from many sites. It is very scenic and a pleasure to stroll, bike, run, or just visit by it.

When in downtown Calgary, the best place to experience and enjoy the Bow River is from Prince's Island Park. Easily accessed from the foot of Barclay Parade SW, a footbridge takes you over one channel of the Bow to the island. Here you can walk...More

The Bow River starts in the Rockies and goes through the north part of downtown Calgary. In the summer, you'll see many people in the city floating down the river in inner tubes and little rafts.
