The Bow River allows you to view Calgary from a completely different perspective. You can float, kayak, canoe and or fish the Bow River at your leisure. There are quite a few fly fishing co's that will do floats (you don't always have to fish)...More

There are plenty of places to take a trip down the bow from and to. I have my own raft but I've seen rentals available around town. I love to go from Ghost Dam to Cochrane.

The Bow River starts in the Rockies and goes through the north part of downtown Calgary. In the summer, you'll see many people in the city floating down the river in inner tubes and little rafts.
