The Vertigo Theatre mystery series has become a staple for my wife and I over the last 2 years. They have a series of 5 shows that run for several weeks each from September to May. The performances and stage are usually very atmospheric. Often they select classic stories set in the 19th or early 20th century. They may be... More

Our friend is from the island of Jersey & she suggested we go to the showing of Sherlock Holmes & the Jersey Lily. My husband & l love mysteries & have read all the Sherlock Holmes. I loved Francesca Annis' portrayal of Lily Langtry so it was a good mix . We had had season tickets for decades but stopped... More

My sister and I have seen many mystery plays at Vertigo over the years. The productions are always top-notch and well worth the money. This play, the second Sherlock Holmes we've seen in recent years was one of the best-ever. It was much more funny than we expected it to be, well-written and extremely well-performed. I would very much recommend... More

My daughter and I saw a play while on vacation. Very small theatre. Very comfy as far as theatre seats go. Play was great (loved the water on stage). Bar in the lobby. Parking nearby.

My son 16yrs is studying Shakespeare at school and hates it. So we took him to see a theatre performance of Macbeth. We were totally gripped from start to finish, the cast were so believeable, very powerful performances. The fight scenes really were 'to die for'!!! Fantastic choreography and right at your feet. My son is now a Shakespeare convert... More

Vertigo Theatre is, I believe, the only theatre to only run mysteries. They are amazing at it. The last one we saw, the Ellery Queen Mystery - Calamity Town. was there usual creative setting and production. I am writing this not so much about the play itself, which was not only clever but a twist ending that made total sense... More

This small theatre is located downtown at the bottom of the Calgary Tower. I had not attended an event here before and was very pleased with the venue. I really enjoyed the ballet and the music. My granddaughter is only 5 and was not happy there was no singing like in the Lion King (her words). But she did get... More

Got a chance to catch The Mousetrap production at Vertigo and being as it was our first time there we didn't know what to expect. I've seen the play in London Town so I knew the story but this version and the feeling of being in London back in the 60'S at an early production as the play was beginning... More
