A Fun Distraction for Young Children

The staff were friendly, but they seemed to be short a few. The animals are well cared for and it gives people a fair idea of life on a farm. Lots of hand washing stations and... read more

We took our 2 grandchildren (21/2 years and 8 month old) for what we thought would be a fun day, it was not. First of all, it was very expensive and very little to see. There were lots of goats, some sheep, chickens, pigs and a few other animals. Most of the building were closed and the pens with signs... More

Had Butterfield Acres come to the house for a birthday party with a mini petting zoo. The kids had a great time!! Max brought sheep, goats, bunnies and ducklings. The setup and take down was easy and made a special day even better!! Thank you!! Highly recommend.!!

I feel like the day camps for younger campers at Butterfield acres would be fun. But not the older- ages 12-14 camps. I was a camper, the instructor was dull, boring, and acted as if she didn't like her job. The website said FIT was about "in depth" animal care. We mostly just petted animals like the preschoolers. I would... More

I have read both positive and negative reviews and from my experience I am with the positive side. Pricing: While it does seem a bit ludicrous to charge $11 for all kids that can walk. They do offer free parking, and they are a farm that has to capitalize on the summer season for revenue. As well in comparison to... More

Admission prices are what they are, but butterfield acres is a great place for young children to have a hands-on experience with animals that most kids don't get exposed to. I've read the reviews, and I just want to touch on a couple things: Hand washing: there are plenty of hand washing stations around the farm. People complain that there... More

The staff were friendly, but they seemed to be short a few. The animals are well cared for and it gives people a fair idea of life on a farm. Lots of hand washing stations and lots to see. I would recommend that you bring a lunch, water, and good walking shoes (no sandles). This is great for younger kids,... More

I am writing this because of some of the negative reviews (ahem, two and a half year old "baby" wasn't free.. geez lady..). I brought a REAL baby (7M) and my TODDLER (3). The baby enjoyed snoozing in the stroller, and my toddler had a great time. I am a city girl through and through and wasn't at all shocked... More

This is truly a rip off of the highest order and the SPCA should shut the place down. The animals are dirty, housed in inadequate pens etc , staff are young kids who are ill trained. It is disgusting place .

Took my two year old son to this farm - what a disappointment!!! He is only 2 years and 4 months old and we had to pay because they charge a fee for babies who can walk. The farm to me seemed neglected - lots of building but all closed - animals closed...you can pet the rabbits and the goats... More

Our family really likes this little farm. You really can't have high expectations coming into it, but if you make the most of it, it can be so great! The novelty of going into goat, pig, rabbit, chick, and sheep pens and actually getting to pet and feed the animals is great, especially if your children have never been exposed... More
