We did not see bears. Having said that the gondola and gourmet lunch was a once in a lifetime experience. You can select an open or closed gondola to the top of the mountain - we chose open and the views of the mountains, the lake in the distance and the forest were breathtaking. We ate at the Whitehorn Bistro... More

The gondola was a nice ride to the top - smooth and easy to see the sights - especially coming down , you can see Lake Louise. They see bear everyday on the slopes - however we saw nothing. If we had seen a bear I would give it 5 stars. The Banff Gondola has a much nice viewing platform... More

We combined the ski lift experience with our Lake Louise visit. after eating in the restaurant, we (tour group) were free to take either ski lift chairs or enclosed gondola cars to the top (almost) of the ski mountain for beautiful views of the lake in the distance. There is also a wildlife center (steep walk downhill a bit) where... More

We decided to do this Gondola ride over the Banff Gondola, only because we were staying in Lake Louise. I don't know how the two compare, but I do know that I liked this one! Since it was raining, we chose the enclosed Gondola. But even in the rain and fog, it was absolutely gorgeous! Plus, we saw two different... More

although the cost is a little high for the trip up, it is worth it on a clear day. the ride up is fast and when you walk out from the exit area, the views are picture perfect.

I've skied this hill a dozen times, but never seen in the summer. Elected for the open chair vs the gondola. Unfortunately didn't see much wildlife. We did the climb to the Ptarmigan Viewpoint. Trail is easy walking, but be warned, you climb about 1000 feet in 1.7km. Some stretches will test you if you are not in good shape,... More

We purchased the tickets as a Groupon on a whim. I am really glad we did. The drive to the gondola is lovely and since the line up to go to the Lake Louise townsite was about 2 km long I was glad we were going to the ski hill where there was lots of parking. The lodge at the... More

This is worth a trip if you are in the area but I would not make a special trip to see it. The views of Lake Louise are nice from the top. Apparently wildlife sightings are common, but we did not see anything.

Gondola is top notch, super view from the top and many nice trails up there if you want to hike. There is also a nice wildlife center with pelts you can touch and informational pieces on all the animals that are found in the area.

This was an incredible surprise and a must To Do on your list! we road the open chair to the top (highly recommended if weather permits). We saw a Grizzly on the way up and down. The view of the Rockies and Lake Loiuse from the top is breathtaking and unbeatable! The wildlife interpretive center is informative and the staff... More
