Arriving at the lodge, one is obliged to go down several flights of stairs to the ticket booth. Also the women's washroom is on the lower floor, down the stairs. No ramp no elevator. Oh! there is a paved walkway that swings around the lodge and includes a wonderful hill for skateboarders, but not for anyone with any walking difficulty... More

We normally use the gondola in winter, but as family had arrived we decided to take the trip up in summer. Worth the ride, sadly no bears spotted, but beautiful views up and down the run. Definitely stay up there for lunch or a coffee. You can choose a chair lift or gondola to ride up in. We chose the... More

There was a choice of a gondola car or the ski lift bench. We took the gondola car going up but found the hazy glass was not conducive for taking photos. Once at the top, there was a platform where we were able to see the whole area, Lake Louise, the Fairmont, and vast mountain range to take our photos.... More

We purchased a gondola ride with lunch as a package with river rafting. I'm not sure I would have done it otherwise. We were lucky enough to see a bear but there were other people who came just after us who didn't see any. The view was nice, but the overall experience was just average

Arrived early around 8:45 and booked the gondola with breakfast buffet. This was only $3 more expensive per person and a great buffet with hot and cold choice, we ate so much we didn't need lunch! We also found a coupon in one of the maps we picked up from Banff visitor centre with $5 off the buffet deal per... More

The lodge and gondola are wonderful! We went up on an open chair and were so fortunate to see a black bear foraging for food below us. The view was spectacular and the scenery amazing. We did a small hike at the top of the gondola that was probably 15 minutes. It was picturesque and very mild. While on the... More

Went up the gondola on a very sunny day. One of us was slightly nervous to go on the open chair but went for it and would 100% recommend this in comparison to the closed in gondola. No difference in price. Wonderful views far down to Lake Louise and an interesting wildlife centre at the top of the gondola. Would... More
