Nadine guided us on this 4 mile hike. We really enjoyed the interpretive piece on the flora and fauna of the area. I had mentioned my arthritic knees in the initial emails and the desire for a flatter hike. This hike was billed as the...More

Taken on a 3-3.5 hour adventure through the winter wonderland forest next to Lake Louise was absolutely spectacular. Trivia thrown around the walk about Canada to be rewarded with a little treat, then to be spoiled with homemade sweets, hot chocolate and herbal tea. Only...More

Thanks, Fran. I'm glad that the power bars and the edible lichens were a big hit, and I hope the "enchanted" forest we explored remains a good family memory. That forest near Lake Louise is definitely a special spot to explore.

Hi, We don't have black flies in the portion of the Canadian Rockies covered by Banff and Jasper National Parks. We do get mosquitoes, but in most areas they are not a big problem, and the season is quite short.
