Went here with my wife and son. They control access to the road, so if you see a "road closed" sign, it just means you need to wait and once enough people leave the site they'll re-open it. The lake is nice, surrounded by mountains,...More

This lake is famous from its appearance on the Canadian $20 bill in the 70s, and is much nicer than Lake Louise. The Park operate a 'one car out, one car in' policy so don't worry about the Road Closed sign - you will get...More

A relatively small lake with a very busy shoreline. Buses and cars bring people to the lake all day. It's a relatively small lake but canoes are available and probably worth the cost and effort. There is also a small unobtrusive resort next to the...More

As everyone has mentioned, this lake is beautiful and a must see. We tried to go up to the lake around 11:30 but of course the road was closed. Tried lake Louise on the same day and parking was 2 miles down the road so...More

The road to Moraine Lake is quite narrow and winding, but not difficult to drive along. Yet, I suggest it'd be better to visit there in the early hour of a day, as a lot of tourist buses come and go. Also be aware that...More

By far one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. We hiked to the top of the rock pile (be aware, you can climb up the rocks which you will notice a lot of people doing but there is also an easy trail with...More

Planning a visit this summer, hoping to rent a canoe. Will have my dog with me, do they allow pets on the canoe with you? He will have a dog life jacket.

On google maps it says the road to Moraine Lake is closed October-May. We are headed up there next week (April 2017) and driving, will we be able to drive up to Moraine Lake? Thank you!
