Take the chair lift up in summer for spectacular views and if you are lucky like us on the way down you will see black bears eating underneath the chair lift! Photo opportunities every where.

My brother took us for lunch at this ski resort. We ate outdoors (by the chairlift) at this 'Bears Den'. The food was incredibly delish and service was amazing not to mention the views.

If you only want to ski, then take the shuttles. If you want to see some other attractions, then a car might be useful. When staying in Banff, you can walk everywhere and no car is needed. Banff also has a transit bus... More
