This was the most amazing experience! We had stayed at the fairmont chateau where Kingmik was just down the road. The hotel provided a free shuttle for drop off or pick up. I recommend booking in advance, we had did the Narnia tour. Although this was only a half hour i would recommend doing the longer tour as you never want it to end. We had Chloe as our musher/guide and she was amazing and very educational. She even stopped at certain picture spots. Being an animal lover it was nice to see that these dogs love what they do and they love running. You can also tell they are very well taken care of. We will 100% be doing this when we visit again!

We had a wonderful time. Staying at the Chateau Lake Louise I chose this company over the others mainly for proximity. The hotel dropped us to the meeting point.
The whole experience was wonderful. From check in to good-bye we felt comfortable and included in the experience.
Craig was our guide and could not have done a better job.
It’s really hard to explain just how peaceful and smooth the ride is and how beautiful the scenery!! You just gave yo go and do it yourself!!

Kingmik deserves more than five stars! We booked the Great Divide Tour on December 23. The area received a LOT of snow a couple of days before, but the team at Kingmik worked hard to get the trail back in shape for tours quickly. It is amazing that they were able to do that in such a short period of time. We arrived to the staging area earlier than we needed and were allowed to interact with the dogs and watch the mushers prep for the tours. The dogs were really sweet and the mushers were very pleasant, answering questions and allowing us to watch them work.

During the pre-tour briefing, one of the mushers explained that due to the conditions from the recent snowstorm, we would not be able to drive the sleds. No worries, this actually worked out better because our musher, James, took some great photos of us in the sled, with the dogs in frame, before we headed back.

The mushers help the riders get into their sleds, and they provided sleeping bags to help you stay warm. When the dogs see that it is almost time to go, they get super excited! You can't help but be excited too (if you aren't already).

Once you leave the staging area, all is quiet except the sound of the dogs' paws on the snow. It is absolutely gorgeous. James was both our musher and local historian, providing lots of interesting information about the area and Kingmik during our trip. The 90 minutes goes by way too fast as you take in the amazing views and enjoy the overall experience.

When we returned, we helped feed our dogs (including Dan and Penguin, my personal favorites), and James gave us a card with each of our dogs' names. After a few more minutes with the dogs, we headed back to the Fairmont with our photos and amazing memories. We enjoyed it so much, we checked online that afternoon to see if there were any other tour times available during our stay. Not surprisingly, we weren't able to secure an additional tour on such short notice, but we definitely plan to return to the area in the future and enjoy another Kingmik tour.

Thank you to Megan and team for sharing these amazing dogs with us!

We had always wanted to try this and when we found the option to experience in Lake Louise we jumped on the opportunity.

The whole event was well organised and great fun - the weather was super kind to us and the excitement of the dogs was absolutely infectious.

Lots and lots of interaction with the dogs and team made the experience truly magically

We had the most amazing time on our dog-sledding experience. From the moment we started talking to our guide Jared, it was incredibly evident the care, passion, and dedication that goes into each dog and their relationship with their musher. Jared answered any and all questions we had about the dogs, Banff, how he got into mushing, etc. We'd highly recommend a Kingmik tour to anyone who visits the Banff/Lake Louise area!

I rode withJared who was very down to earth-personable and knowledgeable. We were pulled by Granite, Squiff, Ranger, Sneech, Tractor, Sigmond and Anna. I loved sharing this experience with my family and would highly recommend adding this to your itinerary!

We arrived for our 1.5hour dog sled tour to some very excited dogs and very welcoming tour guides. We were able to meet our team, learn all their names and get in some cuddles before setting off on our journey. The scenery was just breathtaking - we were wrapped up nice and cosy in our sled and Kylie our musher talked us through the area, the dogs likes and dislikes and what we saw along the way. The dogs are so well cared for and are absolutely gorgeous! They loved getting lots of cuddles and we even got to feed them a ‘snack’ at the end! What an absolutely unforgettable experience! If you’re looking for a reputable dog sled tour with excellent dog care look no further!! Thank you so much Kingmik for a once in a lifetime opportunity!

One of the best experiences of our travels anywhere. My wife, daughter and I had two sleds with Cynthia and Jared. It was clear how much they care about the dogs. The views were beautiful and interacting with the dogs and learning about their amazing athleticism was very interesting. Cynthia and Jared were very informative both about the dogs and the beautiful views. I highly recommend this experience to everyone!

Outstanding tour which last just over 90 minutes. It is expensive which would make me think twice about doing again which is a real shame and myself and the wife really enjoyed it. We got to stand up with the drive and saw some beautiful scenery. A must if you have a few spare dollars :)

This was an absolute highlight of our visit to Lake Louise. Jared, our guide, was incredibly personable and informative. He impressed us with not only his expertise with the dogs but his knowledge about the history of the area. We have waited a long time for a trip to the Canadian Rockies and had no idea that this experience was available. We have traveled a lot to various continents. but this will stand out as one of the most unique experiences that he have ever had. I wouldn't recommend it for very young children, but it would also be a great family experience.
