This was a great experience for our family. This tour company had an awesome staff and was well organized in spite of Covid. We did the “gentle” tour with Elliot as one of our kids was too light for the “exciter” tour. Elliot was a fantastic guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable and made the trip very fun for our youngest who was a bit apprehensive. Elliot recommended Takakkaw Falls and we stopped on our way home for a quick walk to these amazing falls. Thanks!!

Amazing, amazing, amazing!! Highly recommend! We are first-timers and my wife does not swim. We were a little nervous but We had the best guide “Simon” and he made sure we were very comfortable, especially my wife. We did the Exciter option and really really enjoyed it. You get 2 chances to jump in the river along the trip and you should do it; I did and loved it! All of the staff there from the ladies that greeted us with the waivers until the very end were second to none. Pay close attention to what they tell you to bring with you. Wear something like flip flops since you will be putting on special booties for the boat part; makes it easier for changing. They take really good care of you, they are super friendly and safety-conscious. They also take lots of photos and we bought the package and so happy we did. Some really awesome photos that would be impossible to get on your own.

Being fortunate enough to live in Banff National Park, I have the privilege to wake up each day to the beauty of the mountains and all it has to offer. For the past 7 years I have also had the privilege to experience one of my favorite pass times, to ride the wild white water down the Kicking Horse River, an experience that I tell all of my family, friends, coworkers and guests about. Wild Water Adventures has never disappointed me and that’s why each year I return to them, excited to see which river guide they chose for me this time, how big the white water is going to be and what new adventure they have in store (no two trips have ever been the same)!

From the shuttle driver to the team anticipating your arrival at the base, everyone is delightful, full of energy, excitement and extend a true willingness to make you feel safe and comfortable.

In July, I had the opportunity to take a few of my coworkers on a Wild Water Adventure. We met the shuttle in Lake Louise; again we were met with an abundance of exuberance from the driver instantly making my guests and I feel welcome and appreciated. However, our shuttle was held up by a miscommunication between the hotel front desk, the guests and the driver. Running 15 minutes late we quickly hit the road to pick up a couple more guests, who I am sure, were patiently waiting for us in Field BC. Upon arrival to the pickup location in Field, the new guests boarded and the driver explained to us that since we were running late we would miss the introduction at the base, but not to worry, he would explain everything we needed to know.

Our arrival at the base was not met with any less enthusiasm then the driver had. We were told what to grab and where to go. The buses already preparing to head to the river base we rushed into the change room and got into our wet suits. The excitement was exhilarating! And Wild Water, you once again did not disappoint! An amazing guide (one of my personal favorites), an even better ride and to finish it all off smiles on all of my coworkers faces. I could not have asked for a better day.

Upon arrival at the base, we changed, dried off and headed out for coffee, tea and delicious treats. I stopped at the desk to personally thank one of the owners of the company, telling her I would be back the following week with my family; how much we loved coming and how special they made us feel every single trip! In the midst of our conversation we were very rudely interrupted. A guest demanding to know when the shuttle was leaving, she and her husband were late for a dinner reservation and they wanted to leave…NOW.

As a fellow person who works in the tourism industry, I am always intrigued to witness how others deal with customer complaints and this business owner deserves a medal! She kindly explained to this guest that everyone would be leaving in about 15 minutes, she apologized for the trip running late she even called the guests hotel to make sure that the reservation would not be missed; none of the above appeasing the guest at all, they kindly asked that anyone taking the shuttle back to town, quickly gather their things, the shuttle was getting ready to leave. I will admit, I was a bit disappointed to be rushed out, as the after rafting trip hot chocolate is delicious and I tend to enjoy a few minutes to talk with the guides and relax with other guests. However, understanding that they want to keep these particular guests happy, I packed up my things and boarded the shuttle with my coworkers.

What happens next, is actually kind of comical; the shuttle appears to be making a strange noise. But again no problem for Wild Water Adventures they immediately pull up with another shuttle, and we are on the road. I’ll admit the shuttle ride back to Field was a bit quieter then the usual ‘after rafting excitement’ that I have previously experienced, but that exuberance came bouncing back once our ‘not so happy guests’ disembarked the shuttle at their destination spot. We then all happily exchange stories about our trips, our guides, where each of us was from and what other great adventures were available in the mountains.

I have to say that I was disappointed when I read the terrible review these guests posted on Trip Advisor, reason I felt I should write a rebuttal. I cannot say how their guide was on the river; I cannot speak to how safe they each felt, I couldn’t even say they had fun. What I can say is that Wild Water Adventures did everything in their power to turn this situation around for these guests; it’s just unfortunate that they couldn’t stop, sit back and enjoy themselves as so many others do when they visit this amazing area.

Wild Water Adventures continue doing what you are doing, customer service, dedication to safety, over and above guest satisfaction, are the reasons that you are number 1!

Thank you again for an amazing summer, I look forward to next year!

We never went whitewater rafting before, so we were excited, and some a bit nervous, to go. Once there, the employees make you feel right at home with the ease of conversation and hospitality. Our guild was Mike, and he kept us more than entertained for the whole ride. He was very knowledgeable, and knew every inch of the Kickinghorse River. So entertaining that we didn't know if we were smiling cause of the excitement of the ride, or the humour of Mike, who made everyone comfortable, and relaxed. Our time there was great, and the time flew. We would not hesitate to go back, for a longer ride. Thanks guys :)

We had a great time white water rafting with Wild Water Adventures! My friends and I were a group of 12, and we all loved the experience! We went in 2 rafts since our group was so large. I had James or "Jim-bo" as my guide, and he was amazing! Really funny, and gave us clear instructions on what to do at all times. I was quite nervous going into the experience since I hadn't done white water rafting before and I'm not particularly excited about water sports, but the crew really took the time to explain the safety precautions and gave us very clear instructions on what to do, so it really put me at ease! Josh led the other boat and he was great as well.

They even provided us with cookies/drinks at the end of the trip when we returned to base camp which was a nice touch since we were all starving. What a great group of people that run this business! James, Josh and Diego were great guides and made us all feel comfortable on the adventure. I loved everything about it, definitely recommend booking with Wild Water Adventures!

Hi Adrienne077, Thank you for leaving us this kind review! We're thrilled to hear that all 12 of you loved your rafting experience with us. We do understand that some guests have some anxiety going into a rafting trip, especially if it's their first time, so we're happy that our thorough safety briefing aided in calming those feelings. James, Josh, and Diego, and the rest of the team will be excited to hear that they were a part of making your journey down the river so positive! We hope you enjoy the rest of your travels in the Rockies! -Diana & the Wild Water Crew

This, by far, was the greatest adventure I have been on. It was fun from start to finish thanks to our guide JUAN. The rafting was exciting and Juan made it even better. He was very knowledgeable, fun and caring about our safety from the start to the end. The day was perfect and there is no wonder this is the must do thing in Canada. I will be back in the future for sure.

Thank you, Paul, for sharing with us your thoughts following your trip on the river with us. It's extremely gratifying for us when we meet our daily goals of showing each of our guests a memorable river experience, and we are glad that you had fun on the river. Thanks, too, for keeping our "Juan" jokes running on! That was the best Trip Advisor comment title that we've had to date! He's certainly "Juan" of a kind! Thank you again for joining us and for your comments. All the best, Ted

My family and I took a trip down the Kicking Horse River on July 6 with Wild Water Adventures and it was awesome. We booked the Exciter half day trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. Out guide Andrew, from England, was great. Funny, entertaining, knowledgable and safe. The trip was memorable and was up there with trips we've taken on the Ottawa River in Ontario and a trip in Costa Rica.
The website was easy to navigate and was a great selling feature for me. Be sure to book with Wild Water Adventures so these guys can continue to do what they do and won't have to get 'real' jobs.

Our family of six has been on many rafting trips in many locations.

In our experience,

1. We have never felt safer and in better hands.

2. We have never had a more energetic, enthusiastic and fun group of guides.

3. We have never had a group of guides with more experience.

4. We have never gone out with a better run, better organized company.

In short - - super safe, great fun and extremely well organized - - what more could you want??

Enjoy!!!!
