Visit to Canada

We decided to stop and have a coffee stop here and a nice walk around. We didn't do the full walk to the falls but it was very serene and not to be missed while in Banff.

visited bow falls during our visit to Banff. Falls were pretty and easy accessible. This is a popular tourist location, so parking was crowded with cars and tour buses. A nice stop.

Close to the town of Banff with very easy assess. Photo opts everywhere and a scenic hiking trail along the water. Good place to just sit and relax.

We could see these Waterfalls from our bedroom window at our hotel. Stunning with the back drop of the mountains. There are trails along the river bank you can walk or cycle but it is better on horseback. Lovely scenery and you get to see the wildlife too. Highly recommend.

The walk along the river is just beautiful and the Falls take your breath away. It wasn't too busy but I imagine it could be heaving with tourists in peak season. We saw an elk grazing. Fabulous.

Pleasant walk on well maintained trail along river to "falls". More like Rapids, though. Nice views of Cascade mountain and other mountain over the Bow River. Be ready for a number of up and down steps on the way.

Pleasant view of the Bow River Falls. Nice river walk from the base of the falls upstream to downtown Banff.

These falls are just breath-taking! We walked the trail to the lake before the falls, lots of stairs and just incredibly tall pines that keep you looking skyward. We drove to the site, but there is a wonderful trail from the town center if you have the time. It is chilly there-the water temperature never exceeds 50 degrees F, so... More

Walk from Banff along the river to these falls - there are a number of steps at the end so if steps are a problem perhaps avoid. A lovely walk along a turquoise river to the fast flowing falls disappearing off into the wilds. Saw squirrels and Chipmunks on the way.

Very fast and furious falls. So gorgeous against the blue skies and green pines. Take your camera. A must see!!
