With 20 minutes for me to check in, i was super rushed to get to their counter. The lady asked my name, and once she confirmed i had a reservation, her and the driver Shawn, took over for me. Took my excessive baggage and pointed...More
we booked from Australia prior to our trip and everything worked out exactly as planned, the desk was easily located on the airport and all the staff we dealt with were excellent. Dillon our driver was professional and kept us updated with the...More
I've been using Banff Airporter for many years, and I am a huge fan. They always arrive when they say they will, the buses are comfortable and clean, the drivers are courteous and professional. And - here's the best part - if your flight is...More
Fantastic and friendly service in luxury coaches. Easy to find, on-time and lots of local knowledge shared. Bonus that one coach had an extra-large window above driver that allowed great view of the approaching majestic mountains!
Great staff, knowledgable and caring drivers reminding people to buckle and hydrate! Brittany was especially thorough on the ride from Banff to Calgary taking care to clarify all important vehicle details. Highly recommend!
Transport - Calgary Inter airport to Fairmont LL (1 Replies)
Hi all Trip - 11 December 2014 - Calgary International Airport to Fairmont Lake Louise Family of 4 (plus approx 5 bags) - 2A and 2 4 year old children. Flight arrives at 10.45am from NYC. We have decided to not drive given the possible weather conditions and allows us to look at the scenery on the way. Understand there are 2 good companies to choose from - Brewster and Banff Airporter. Option 1 - Brewster - Shuttle This shuttle option appears to be a good idea, as it is direct from...More

I'd be really surprised if the Brewster shuttle didn't stop at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, as that hotel is huge and probably has almost the same number of hotel rooms as all the other LL hotels combined.
Shuttle from Banff to YYC (4 Replies)
We'll be visiting Banff in early January 2018, flying in to Calgary from Europe and staying in a hotel near the airport that night since the flight arrives around 6pm. We will then use the Banff Airporter to travel to Banff the next morning and stay in Banff for 5 nights. We'll pick up a rental car when we arrive in Banff and then drop it off in Banff on the last day before travelling back to YYC on the Banff Airporter. I prefer to use a shuttle from and to the airport at this time of...More

For flights internal to Canada, I generally try to be at the airport 1.5 to 2 hours before the flight. Given that your trip is in January, I think you are wise to be considering adding an hour or so to this, in case of unforeseen delays. The Airporter is very reliable and (in my experience) punctual, but there is always the chance of a delay in winter. Calgary airport is a relatively pleasant place for the wait, with lost of natural light and some interesting artwork.
Where to buy warm clothes for snow (17 Replies)
Hi there, My husband and I will be spending Christmas in Banff, however we'll be coming from the peak of summer in Sydney, Australia. I'd like some advice on where to best get clothes suited to the freezing winter in Canada. We will be arriving in Vancouver a week and a half before flying to Calgary. I was told that there was a Walmart near Calgary airport that would stock more affordable clothes suited to the weather than I would be able to find here. If this is the best scenario, we...More

While Vancouver will be warmer than Calgary, at Christmas time, you'll still want warm clothes for your time there. Why wait until Calgary to buy everything? I'm not sure I'd want to be messing around with that shopping on Christmas eve, either. Stores can be busy or close early, and may be a bit picked over. I would want to get to Banff for Christmas as soon as I could, on arrival in Calgary.
