Great Banff tour. Aaron and John had superb knowledge of Banff history and mountains. It was very interesting tour and we had very nice spots to take beautiful pictures.

The trip to Johnston Canyon was fabulous. Frozen waterfalls were the highlight but the canyon itself was spectacular. Norm was the perfect guide...passionate about the park and minimizing impact on the natural beauty of it. Loved it!

We had no plans for our tour and let our guide Ed present several options. We chose The Johnson Canyon tour. Do not miss this hike! Ed had everything we needed-most importantly ice cleats! We had a most enjoyable day learning about the area and...More

This was a late booking for us. We booked the day before going to Panormama. The day didn't get off to the best of starts. There was a slight delay in being picked up at the hotel. However I have to say that the young...More

The tour of Johnson Canyon with Rob was great and thoroughly enjoyable. He was great. Was expensive for a backpacker considering you could actually just walk it yourself.

My friends and I have done both the kicking horse powder hound express and the panorama mountain day trips. They are awesome value for money and I loved both ski areas!

We did the tour to Lake Louise on 2 January 2019 and had about 15 people on a mid-sized coach that seated about 20. It was a comfortable sized group with plenty of room on the bus. Even if the bus had been full it wouldn't... More

Okay, i have spent hours on TA trying to find the above and so I am just going to throw it out there to my TA canadian lovers and natives! I am flying into Calgary on Wednesday, in mid june. Most likely renting a car, or taking the train to Banff. Plan to hike each day for at least 2-4 hours. Seeking knowledge of the best hikes, not the ones that are easy and so freaking crowded, I want the excercise and I am in great shape. Excluding my altitude issues that will arise! LOL I also...More

Hi again, Madi, You hadn't mentioned in your other post that you are coming in mid-June. Be sure to bring hiking clothing you can layer, and good sturdy footwear. Mid-June is still very early in the hiking season in the Canadian Rockies; the highest trails will still have substantial amounts of snow in some places and you may encounter temperatures not much above freezing. We took a little hiking get-away to Lake Louise in mid-June last year (16th - 19th), and did the Plain of Six...More

Plan changed! What should I know? (18 Replies)
Hi, 6 weeks more and we will depart for our Canada trip but I only finished planning half the trip... Yesterday, I tried to make reservation for a 2 days 1 night Jasper tour departing from Banff, but was told that they have re-scheduled their tours. Hence, this tour will not be running during the week we are in Banff. :( It really caught us by surprise and now we got 2 days extra in Banff. So, I have to make some changes to our plan and hope that you guys can give me some advises on...More

Thanks Judy. I definitely want to see the Columbia Icefields, it's one of my top priority. Actually, I found a tour company (Discover Holidays) offering a tour that departs from Jasper to Banff and include visiting the Icefields as well. If I take up this tour, I can save up one day for other things. But the issue is I don't know how reliable is this company and they only have office in Vancouver. Banff Adventure and Jasper Adventure do not seem to have such tour. Any idea of other companies...More

Hello everyone! Would like to get your suggestions on which victoria daytour would be the best? Discover Canada tours or Landsea tours? Or other? My main goal is to to check out and have a free time strolling around downtown victoria and snap photos of the parliament buildings and empress hotel, go to butchart gardens, and drop by fisherman's wharf.
