This is a beautiful waterfall just outside the town of Banff. It can be viewed from the roadway or you can hike up to it. Apparently ice climbing of the falls is possible.

We were visiting the area in June and drove by Cascade mountain almost daily from Canmore. We could see the falls from the road and on our last day I suggested we just turn off and go check them out. We ended up parking at the base and hiking up a very steep incline (it is a mountain after all)... More

Beautiful fall which surely must have a large volume during summers when more snow melts. I imagine it would be a lot of fun to visit during peak summers.

This is an easy bus ride from Banff central. It suddenly emerges without warning and is very special..

Beautiful waterfall in a great park. We love looking at it and hearing the sounds of the water as it rushes down the rocks. During the spring melt or after a rain is the best time to visit to see the most amount of water falling. However, it is always a lovely place to stop and unwind in nature.

A real pretty spot. Picturesque and clean. Great spot for a picnic or a swim in the summer. Good photo op as well.

Definitely worth stopping when passing! You can walk up a bit to see the upper falls closely. Beautiful for long exposure photography!

Nice little hike to this cascading waterfall with in Banff National Park - this waterfall is seen off the hwy 1 exit towards Lake Minnewanka Scenic Route. At the time we went, the leaves were turning for fall. Such a lovely place to visit.

This is an attraction we went to visit a second time and then walked along the banking to follow the flow. It's a truly beautiful area.
