Such a beautiful hike! We got to the top in about an hour, and found a lovely quiet spot to sit and enjoy the view. Good beginner hike. Busy but, still enjoyable. Enjoyed the red chairs at the top.

A fairly easy safe walk up this mountain, taking around an hour to the top. Good views of Banff and surrounding area. Unfortunately, the only way down is the same path as going up. Suitable for young children. An enjoyable walk.

45 minutes should get most reasonably fit people to the top of the mountain which offers great views over Banff. We set off about 08:30 walking from our hotel and met a couple of people on the climb. Coming down was a different story. By...More

Tunnel mountain overlooks the town of Banff and is a moderate hike of around an hour to the top (depending on how often you stop to take photos). Views of the town are very good and keep your eyes peeled for the wildlife en-route. We...More

I walked to the trail from our downtown hotel which took about 10 minutes. Starting off, it seems like any hill walk but it really pays off getting to the top. With stunning views on both sides, it is very fulfilling to make it all...More

Did this hike in mid-morning from the bottom parking lot. We walked from our hotel on Banff Av and it was easy to get to within a short distance of the city centre. It took us about an hour and a half round trip with...More

My daughter and I hiked this as her first summit. The grade is modest - most people should be able to conquer this mountain easily. The top was busy, even on a weekday, in Summer 2017. It's a quick hike with great views of Mt....More

Tunnel Mountain is very central in Banff, we took one bus and was there in a few minutes. The hike itself is pleasant and not difficult, and the views of the town of Banff and Rundle Mountain are amazing. Definitely worth it.

We hiked up in the afternoon around 4:30pm, it's steep in bits but the path is clear and there are amazing viewing points along the way. We didn't have much of a view from the top as thick fog rolled in but it was still...More

I hiked this tunnel trail in June but I am pretty sure you can do it easily with only snow boots during snow Saison as it is all on gravel roads.

Saw very little wildlife. Tunnel Trail was a gentle uphill. It was done at 10 in morning. We crossed paths with others who lived in area. It was our first hike upon arriving in Banff. Again. Very little wildlife viewing... More

Yes, there are signs directing tourists from the city center to the trail. We were staying in a hotel in town and walked to the trail head from there.
