Interesting shops, restaraunts and people. Many forreigners working here. All shops have same made-in-China cheap gifts. Look hard to find authentic Canadian goods.

Excellent street with many activities and shops and beautiful scenery. Had a beaver tail which was excellent. The walkways and bridges are just beautiful!

We walked up and down Banff Avenue a few time. Great mix of shops and restaurants. It's not very long, easy to walk and lots of side streets too.

Banff Avenue is where most of the hotels and restaurants are located. It is a wide-open street with wide sidewalks that are easy to walk on but only when they are shoveled (looking at you, Youth Hostel). There are wheelchair ramps on the sidewalk that...More

Depends on the wind. When we were there, no smoke in Banff, although the mountains were obscured.
