I stopped here after a long cycle ride. Beers were nice and I had a hummus and pitta dip snack. Just felt that I was a bit of a hindrance to the bar tenders who didnt really seem to want to serve me, despite me spending enough at their joint. Seriously, some personal touch is useful!

Everything you can think of for shopping and eating (from The Bay and The Gap), to Beavertails and McD's. Dozens of tourist/souvenir shops, cafes, etc. You could easily kill a few hours walking along this strip, although it was PACKED with people; even though it was cold, windy and rainy in this day in August?!

Great shops and wonderful eateries! But what's most interesting is to sit on a bench and watch the people. You will see folks from all over the world. It is really a hoot! You will be asking yourself "do these people look in a mirror before they venture out?"

This place is built for tourists but it is so cute. It's very expensive but it's fun to explore the shops and eateries, since the scenery is beautiful. Tons of tourists scour the place so it can be busy but it's worth it to take a stroll. We stopped for ice cream (from Prince Edward Island). It was very busy... More

Banff Ave. is very busy with tourists. There are many shops, bars and places to eat. Parking can be tricky but if it is shopping you are after this is the place. A great feel to the downtown area that is kept very clean. Two horse drawn carriages await you if you are so inclined to take a buggy ride... More

I guess you have to stroll Banff Ave. if you are in Banff. It is about 5 blocks long, parking is a mess, it is very crowded, and the stores are tourist oriented, but not as bad as some places i have been. There are a few jewelry stores and upscale clothing stores, a few outdoor outfitters, a number of... More

A lovely street with much to see, the World Heritage Park with its 4 sentinels, weathervanes that symbolise the street your at and at the intersection with Banff and Wolf there was even what looked like Wolf stormwater covers. At the other end is the lovely view of Cascade Gardens and the Bow Bridge. We didn't do any shopping here... More

One long straight avenue filled with souvenir shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and made beautiful by spring flowers everywhere! A lot of restaurants are simply one door wide, then head on up the stairs so always remember to look up especially at those magnificent mountains!

Main shopping street in Banff. There lots of interesting shops plus you get a view of mountains in either direction.
