This course has spectacular holes, views and challenges. Stanley Thompson was the original architect and did a fantastic job. Proshop and bagdrop service were top notch as was beverage/snack carts on the course. The course has a variety of challenges and hole design to keep golfers of all levels interested.

What an amazing experience! The option of Golf on our APT Rocky Mountains experience was well worth ticking the box! Two us made our way from The Fairmont and the guys in the pro shop could not have been more helpful...2Sets (new) of Taylor Made Clubs were waiting for us, mind you we did have to shoo the little squirrels... I played this course in June of 2012, and would play it again in a heartbeat. A great Stanley Thompson layout, there is no shortage of memorable holes including #4 and #15. Photo ops! The course was in great shape and a great challenge for any skill of golfer.

Loved this course. I have played it a couple of times now with my dad and always have a great time. It's one of those beautiful courses that you could play again and again. If you are in the area, and are a golfer, definitely check it out.

This is one golf course you want to try. I admit it is not the cheapest but well worth the money. You are playing in between mountains, you might even se some wild life, not other golfers but elk, deer, and maybe even a bear. Amazing course also, it was originally built by Stanley Thompson in 1914. On course you... More

We walked through the grounds a couple of times, hoping to see the elk and also because it is a nice walk. There were no elk, but plenty of elk poo further on! But for the most part it is really nice scenery. We did see a couple of squirrels and a white weasel, which you could barely see with... More

Wildlife....that is the only reason I drove into the Banff Springs Golf Course at 430 on a Saturday afternoon. After driving from Seattle and seeing next to no wildlife, we were told that we would be guaranteed elk at least. And they werent wrong! 15 to 20 lazing on the fairway of one particular hole allowed some zoom photography and... More

The golf course manage to share their courses with great wildlife, and you can drive through the course to the clubhouse, and late afternoon may well see Elk and other wildlife. We found over 30 elk, including one old male and two younger males, which provided entertainment that may have required sensorineural with young members of the family. Be warned... More

We are not golfers but was told that if we drove to the Golf Course at dusk we would see elks. We did, and saw elks feasting on the greens. Well worth the drive.
