This was a last minute impulse stop while passing through the town of Banff. I'm glad we stopped. This is the only one of several hot springs in southern Alberta we visited, and it was the first we ever visited. What a great idea. We...More

It's easy to get to the Upper Hot Springs on the Banff Roam bus, which takes you to right outside the entrance, only 5 minutes from Banff Avenue. It costs $7 to get in, which is very reasonable. The views are beautiful, as you are...More

The water in the Upper Hot Springs is very hot, it's so relaxing to soak your sore muscles after a day of hiking. With the entrance fee you get a towel, too, so don't bring your own.

Not worth going in. Rather than the mineral pool it smells of chlorine and is very unappealing for couples. No atmosphere at all. A touristy money grab.

Banff hot spring is a good experience to try, but all it is in fact... is a pool with hot water... Somes years it isn't even all mountain water.
