A definite must but book in advance and go early so that you are able to part. The views are spectacular and it is worth the wait.

The gondola is so much better than I expected. Do note that the temperature drops up at sulphur mountain so wear rainproof, warm clothing even if it's warm down below. Well worth the price!

The gondola ridectook about 8 minutes and the view of the mountains was amazing. It even snowed out on the observation deck

Chalet on top of mountain was under construction. No food and only porta potties. Price of trip should have been seriously reduced.

We had to pay 200 dollars for a -not very special- ride of a few minutes. Totally overpriced. The view is nice, but not worth the money. Not at all...

arrived here mid afternoon on a clear day and the wait to go up was not too bad. However on reaching the top, renovations made the site very crowded. Got some good photos but then the weather closed in and the wait to get back down was horrendous. The ride itself is pretty spectacular with great views down the valley... More

Great views of banff and the surrounding area. Infrastructure at the top is very well developed to allow for many tourists to visit at once. Unfortunately when I went the restaurant/cafe at the top was closed but there was no discount for the fare. Quite expensive to ride the lift, especially for a family group, so may consider hiking up... More

At a ticket cost of just shy of $50 dollars per person the experience delivered by the gondola had better be first rate, and thankfully it is. The views and interpretive options at the top of Sulphur Mountain are sublime. The one thing I wish is that they would create a family pass option as I was travelling with a... More

Quite a steep ascent , if you are nervous of heights travel facing the mountain. A bit of a wait to get into the car, about 15 minutes but worth it for the amazing panoramas . A lot of rebuilding work going on at the summit slightly spoiled the experience. There were vending machines and a seating area as well... More

We had a great time with our kids on the Banff Gondola. They liked the hike up to the old weather station and the views from the gondola. Lines were long, but it was high season!
