    Relaxing walk amazing scenery
We left our motel which was directly across from Bow River and proceeded to hike the trail to Bow River Falls. It was a leisurely walk along the river stopping multiple times to take photos. Lots of viewing areas and we went early in the morning so no crowds. At the end was the Bow Falls which was a bonus after a very relaxing walk. There were deer along the way amazing scenery and just a great way to spend the morning.

Nice, easy walk near the main street of Banff
If you have some time to spend around town, the walk along Bow River is very nice. The walk is fairly easy (mostly flat) with beautiful views of the river all along the walk. A temporary art exhibit was there when we visited. The art exhibit, which runs from July to Sept 2023, featured paintings, sculptures and other artwork which was quite interesting. But even without the artwork, the walk by itself was beautiful and peaceful.

Relax Walk Along Turquoise Bow River
From downtown Banff at Banff Ave, we walked into the trail making our way after crossing the bridge to Fenland Trail (1.2km). The Bow River with the afternoon sun reflection was turquoise, so beautiful. We passed by a canoe rental kiosk and moved towards Banff Heritage Train Station. The return trip back to downtown Banff was surprisingly fast. There is another nice trail heading to Bow Falls in the opposite direction from Fenland Trail.

We used this trail on our way to Cascade of Time Garden from the Surprise Corner Viewpoint. The walk along the river was nice. There were directional signs and benches. Good trail for biking too. We were so happy when we reached the Pedestrian Bridge coz the view of the mountains was nice.

Very easy & delightful trail. There are benches along the way to sit & immerse in the beauty. At the end is the Bow River is the Bow River Falls. There are some stairs to climb up & down but well worth the view. It's also the way to the rear of Fairmont Banff Springs.

Bow River is so unassuming. It had its own quiet and simple beauty which is why it was one of my favorite places in Banff. I was able to enjoy nature without the crowd and made me feel recharged to go on with the rest of the trip.

I can imagine myself reading a book or writing in this place. It was just really nice.

Easy to walk from the Vermillion lakes at the top end of town alongside the Bow river as far as the Bow falls. A very pleasant time away from the closeby bustle of Downtown Banff.

It's not actually a trail, but just a pleasant riverside walk. It connected to Hoodoos trail (if you descending from Tunnel Mountain Rd and to Fenland trail if you keep going northwest. The walk is about 1.5 km long, it starts from 565 Buffalo St and keeps riverside west to Banff Canoe Club.

The walk from Banff alongside the Bow River to the Bow Falls is very beautiful and an easy trail to follow.

There are plenty of benches to sit on and take in the breath taking scenery!

Highly recommended if you have a few spare hours to use whilst in Banff.

Stunning scenery and completely wonderful river to walk along, when we were in Banff the river was still mainly frozen but chunks of it were thawed. The walk ways along the river are well marked with maps, routes and local information, plenty of benches to stop and rest on if needed and great bridges to cross over. We were so lucky as we were staying in the Banff Log Cabin just a stones throw away, so each morning we could enjoy a walk along the River, to the falls and around the area.
