We took the Gondola to the top of this mountain and were rewarded with some spectacular views, especially towards Banff. Looking westwards, the mountains were largely covered with clouds but what we could see was still stunning. It started to rain when we were at the summit so we were rewarded with a spectacular rainbow.

We took the Gondola. The beauty of the stunning views is breath taking. The more you walk, the better the views were. The climb on the wooden path was a bit scary (especially as there were lots of kids running about (accidents waiting to occur -especially the bit of the path that has no railings), without much parental supervision)) but... We took the Gondola but I think next time we will hike. Just so much beauty up there... Even a bit of snow where we made a tiny snowman! Take your time and explore, quite a bit of hiking but worth it.

Considering I got engaged at the top of this mountain I am a bit biased! Spectacular views, we were lucky enough that it snowed while we were up there too. Amazing experience, highly recommend for the view at the top!

Stunning views, a nice and steady path - just a bit of Hard work at the end, rewarded by the panoramic views. Don't waste money on a gondola when this is far more rewarding, healthier and cheaper! Would recommend an early start when it's quieter and cooler.

Steep moderate hike with a great trail. If you don't mind the gondola's it is still a great hike. The Walk ways up top provide nice viewing areas in spite of the many people. The main are where the gondolas arrive are all renovated with nice seating areas and cafeteria style food. Some rono's still under way but it will... More

We took the gondola up Sulphur Mountain but many hiked it. We absolutely loved the views and highly recommend to others. Do get there early or late to avoid crazy crowds. There is a Starbucks at the base of the mountain by the Gondola and a great time to be had!

Twenty-eight switchbacks to the top and breathtaking (especially in the thin air) views throughout the trek. The trail is moderately difficult, but it allows travelers to experience Banff's natural beauty away from the crowd (you get to hear and see nature in-situ!). There is also a waterfall on the trail, which was a bit precarious to approach, but was also... More

I read that a lot of people are upset with the fact that the Gondola is expensive, it's hard to find a parking spot and so on. Well it is really easy to have a great experience without any frustrations. Parking issues can be solved in two ways. First arrive before 9 am (what we did) and there is space... More

We arrived early as part of a tour group and so our tour director knew it got busy and it was well worth the trip up there. We had an absolutely stunning day and did the climb up to the weather station at the top. They are doing some work on the gondola station at the top but not too... More
