Travelled up on the Banff Gondola and walked across to the exhibition weather station. Beautiful clear day but quite cold. The walk took about 20 minutes one way and websites some critters on the rocks on the way. Easy walk on a wide raised walkway. Well worth it if it is clear

I took my Siberian Husky for a hike up Sulphur mountain August 2016. We parked at the bottom of the mountain down the street from the lot and hiked up. Just a tip: Go early or park down the road as parking fills quickly during peak times. It is supposed to take about 2.5-3 hours to hike up but if... More

Been up sulphur mountain a couple times now and you can never best the view. Line ups can be long but not a bad view while waiting. Beautiful new complex at the top for everybody's entertainment.

It took us an hour and 45 minutes to climb what turned into 26 switchbacks up the mountain. About half way up the path gets more inclined and we required more breaks to rest and rehydrate. Once we got there we were very satisfied to reach the top. We originally thought the gondola ride would be free on the way... More

Walked to the gondola from our nearby hotel at 9:45. Car park was busy but not full at this time. As we had pre-booked the time of ascent we were able to by-pass the majority of the queue. Ascent took circa 10 minutes. Great views of Banff and the surrounding mountains from the top. Took the boardwalk from the top... More

Unreal sightseeing from the top of Sulphur Mountain- you won't believe your eyes, it feels like you're living in one of Apple's HD Mac wallpapers. Highly recommend a gondola trip to the top (and back down again if you want to avoid the trip down). If you're walking it's 5.5km of moderately difficult terrain- not recommended for young children or... More

If you are hiking this, brace yourself for a slog. There's lots of other hikers trying to save on gondola rates and they all will feel sorry for themselves about three quarters the way up. But there are amazing views and amazing sense of accomplishment. And the downhill is mostly fun until you wake up the next morning and can't... More

It has been a while since we were up there. They are still improving, but the trail and the views are excellent, even for the whole family. Facilities are limited because of the renovation and improvement being done now.

The wonderful view atop Sulphur Mountain can be accessed by hiking or taking the gondola. We chose the hike, and had a great workout! The trailhead is located in the Upper Springs Parking lot. It took us (a 50+ year old and a 22 year old) about 2 hrs to get to the top, the hike is rated moderate by... More

This is a must try it's very warm natural mountain water like a hot tub feel. They do add a little chlorine I asked one of the team members they would have to for the 100 people that are sitting inside. Like I mentioned max 1 hour that you getting in and out. It's great to smell the crisp fresh... More
