As others have said...this is definitely a must do trip in Canada......very easy drive too whatever the weather We would also recommend using GyPSy Guide Aps to enhance the experience. Just set up your phone or tablet using your location services and enjoy the running...More

Another beautiful drive through the Rocky Mountains. It is best to take this drive earlier in the morning since it increases your chances of seeing wildlife along the highway especially in the low alpine meadows. We have often seen bears along this route and there...More

There are small signs along the gravel road to the glacier that mark where it was every few decades. This is as close as I've ever been to a glacier. It is a magnificent sight. Be ware that it is a long drive, so you...More

We were on the Icefields in May this year and were totally awestruck at the scenery. Going on the special vehicles onto the actual glacier was incredible. Very impressed with they way this operation goes. Highly recommended

Even people who are unable to leave their cars and walk will enjoy the immensity of these spectacular mountains, glaciers and waterfalls. If you are able to, walk up to Wilcox Pass or Parker Ridge for a better view!

If you have the time, drive this on your own, not in a tour bus. There are just too many views, vistas and wildlife that you will want to get out and look at to be cooped up in a bus. It was 3.5 hours...More

Visited as part of coach tour. Chose not to go out to the glacier (had previously visited Franz Josef in NZ) however went on the Sky Walk. Great value, breathtaking, very informative. Great piece of engineering.

They call it the most beautiful highway on earth, and yes, it is! We first drove a part of this highway in rain and clouds, and we went back the next day. No regrets, it is wonderful! Every corner gives another view, amazing!

We found ourselves using terms like ,'oh my goodness' and 'wow' as we travelled along this part of Alberta,Canada. To use the word 'spectacular' does not do this stunning sight justice. It was just breathtaking to see the snow covered mountains which we passed at...More

Amazing drive through Banff National Park. My husband and I along with 51 other seniors were on a Canadian Rocky Mountain tour. The Icefields Parkway is so beautiful that you certainly can see God's work at its best. We took so many pictures but you...More

No, not to get to the Icefields visitors center or the walking/hiking paths. As for seeing the icefields themselves, I believe you have to take a bus and can't do it yourself. But I would check with the park people to... More

The Trans Canada Hwy has fences along the sides and special crossover bridges to keep the wildlife off the highway to avoid accidents with vehicles. Consequently you won't see wildlife on the Trans Canada between Banff and... More
