Sunshine Village sits high on the Continental Divide in the heart of Banff...

Sunshine Village sits high on the Continental Divide in the heart of Banff National Park, and is just minutes from the mountain town of Banff. Three sprawling mountains provide breathtaking sitelines, uninterrupted by any signs of civilization beyond the resort's leasehold.

Ski or ride in Alberta and British Columbia in one run. Sunshine Village's seven-month season stretches from early November until late May - the longest non-glacial season in Canada. The Village's altitude of 7,082 feet ensures the snow stays dry. Sunshine can receive up to nine metres (30 feet) of snow in a season, and it stays all year.

Great snow, good hill.

We're good skiers but we're disappointed by this report. Other than the mountain on the far left (Goats eye mountain) which had a good drop and a number of steep testing runs we found the resort to be relatively benig because of... A) limited vertical drops B) lots of flat interlinking periods C) a general lack of diverse runs Have... More

If you are wanting a mountain that ticks all the boxes .. errm .. this one isn't it. Having skied over a dozen mountains in CONUS, Europe and the Southern Hemisphere it was clear that Sunshine was just another mountain to state claim to. With only one gondola in and out its really a mash up of choice on the... More

Sunshine has long been my main ski hill, and continues to be a favorite. It's not the biggest or steepest, nor is it without flaws, but it's very reliable and offers a good variety of terrain over a massive season. The bad: its busy, parking can suck and its not cheap. Nothing unique among major resorts though, and hardly the... More

We went on the day that was snowing and foggy on the moutain. Because it is so wide open, you couldnt see anything. Everywhere you look is just white. You dont know if you are going up or down or if theres a bump in front of u. It was a bit crazy to ski blind. There r also alot... More

I came here 16 years ago after I first learned to ski and remembered it being amazing but coming here again now that I am a better skier was confirmation that this place is epic! Loved every minute, great ski resort! Awesome trails, great snow!

Skied here and lake Louise over the last 20 years, flying from uk and buying tri area bus lift pass. This year skied with my very athletic 5 year old grandson and his dad. The grandson Jon ed the tiny tigers ski class. His progress was quite remarkable. Day one green runs, day two blues and greens, day three Green... More

Stayed to ski for 2 days. Everything was perfect. The kids at the rental shop were soooo helpful and the sunshine and powder were just spectacular.

We have been skiing sunshine for over 20 years, if you are travelling to banff to ski it's a must. The skiing is fab, fab powder snow nearly guaranteed. Where else can you have that luxury. Something for all abilities, and soooo many runs to complete. A must see.

You don't get better views in the alpine like you do at Sunshine. Unfortunately the sun doesn't always shine. The amount of lift capacity is very good so lift lines aren't too long. The downfall for me is the short off camber runs on some of the lifts, lack of tree skiing, the amount of traversing needed to get back... More

This place was nothing but amazing. When you first pull in, and it's only the base lodge and the gondola station you have no idea what lies ahead. The ride to the village is very scenic and enjoyable due to the well maintained and comfy gondolas. Our favourite runs were on Goats Eye Mountain which had a nice fresh layer... More
