Interesting landmark
Jun 2019 • Friends
Literally the northernmost village in China. There are good enough attractions in the village for a 1-2 day visit. The Oroqen Museum and a boat ride in Heilongjiang are the highlights. There are also lots of landmarks to take a photo with.
Most of the souvenir shops sell Russian dolls, dried fungus and blueberry products (e.g. juice and candies).

The place to stay in Mohe.
Jan 2019 • Solo
This is actually a good 50+ kilometers from Mohe train station. It's good to arrange transportation ahead of time. It's 65 RMB to get into the park, from which you can go to the "Artic Village" (though obviously nowhere near the actual Arctic. I stayed at a farmstay here, which was nice, and from there did all my activities. In the village itself there's a large square from which you can look across the river to Russia. There's a northernmost outpost here as well as the northernmost post office (a popular attraction). You can buy made-in-Mohe wild blueberry products like dried fruit, blueberry juice, and blueberry wine. The Santa Claus House is about 25 km away. Other points of interest, like China's northernmost point, Beihong Village, and elsewhere, are quite a distance, but this is the best place to stay and, from here, arrange a day trip to these other sites.

Beautiful summer time
Aug 2017 • Couples
It seems that we visited at the hottest time of the year, when the sun shined 10h a day, little chipmunks were active, pretty spiders and hungry mosquitoes ruled the forest, but it was simply beautiful. We suggest to stay in the arctic village of Beijicun and go around the scenic park by bicycle. Don't be mislead by the tourist map that is completely off scale, because the Christmas village is actually super duper far and hard to get to without a car or half a day to bike.

Russian border

watch out for scary dogs without leash...other than that, you can enjoy quite a country side atmosphere in the northern tip of China; white night, black river running through Russian border, local foods... for sure you can feel you are a total stranger while your stays.

Northernmost chinese village.
This is the northernmost inhabited village in china, and worth a visit if that sort of thing interests you.

Be prepared for extreme cold, even if coming from harbin, as it's even colder here.

The villagers are all very friendly, and many will help you to organize activities during your stay here.

A bit hard to get here in winter, with frequent road closures due to heavy snowstorms.
