Lovely beach to walk on, hard packed, and u can walk for miles with no interruptions. Walked in the morning very few vendors, not like in PVR or even Sayulita.

Nuevo provides approximately six miles of non rocky beach. It is well maintained and provides every choice of recreation and massage tents at various locations. Easy access to all properties and the boulevard. We love walking the soft sand beach. A real treat

This is a great beach for walking and running. The lower section where the tide comes in is packed down nice and firm. It is a big beach where there is no crowding. Most of the beach on the south end is in front of...More

It’s a relatively dark sanded beach. Worth walking the long straight beach. On the Pacific Ocean. Nice breeze, cool water.

It’s a nice gentle beach. Quiet. The vendors are respectful of boundaries too. The water was calm. Pleasant weather at the end of January.

We stayed at Riu Vallarta and walked both ways, about an hour each way. The beach is clean and sand is soft though some areas are quite gravelly. Small waves and swimmable.

Not five star bc unfortunately the bay water and the air is showing signs of pollution. After an unexpected quick thunderstorm, there was some clearing of the air, but Jalisco needs to take steps to protect their jewel.

We spent hours every day walking the beach in Nuevo Vallarta. It is a relatively flat beach with a safe surf break that doesn't usually have a lot of dangerous rip tides. You should always be careful when playing in the surf especially on windy...More

In Mexico? You gotta be slow, stupid or crazy to be walking around a foreign country at night. Exactly how tourists get hurt. Don't be dumb, pay a taxi to where you are trying to go.

We've snorkeled at Los Caletas and Marietas Island on tours. They were OK. Not as spectacular as Hawaii or other areas we've snorkeled, but the water is clear and you can see fish and rock formations.
