During the late spring through summer time is when it rains in Puerto and Nuevo Vallarta. The ocean is dirty, muddy and grey. If you venture into the water, when you exit you will find dirt, brown and black type pellets on your skin. You...More

Lovely beach. Disappointed with the water, not crystal clear, too wavey to be clear. Sand mixes with the waves so not clear to see any fish or snorkel. Water was a nice temperature.

This beach is not my favorite. The beach has dark sand and is extremely hot. You can't walk on it unless you have shoes. The water is muddy from all of the rain. Not a pretty beach.

we had dinner near or on the beach( don't remember the name of the restaurant), the food was good and the serving was plentiful. Lobster was more than I could eat and that's rare.

The beaches are clean. The sunsets are beautiful. These beaches do not have peddlers trying to sell things. They are very relaxing and fun to walk on.

I've walked at night with friends and never felt unsafe. That said we have been advised by locals not to walk at night and to take cabs which are safer.

We've snorkeled at Los Caletas and Marietas Island on tours. They were OK. Not as spectacular as Hawaii or other areas we've snorkeled, but the water is clear and you can see fish and rock formations.
