We had two hours from getting off the bus from Sam Miguel to getting back on. We had a very specific list. All around the bus station is junk. With the help of shopkeepers, but with no directional signage, we found the plaza we were...More

Right across from the main bus station you can see the leather district, about three blocks across by three deep. A number of larger buildings that are filled with smaller stalls and shops, dedicated to ever type of leather good. The stuff is cheap, very...More

Bought shoes, jackets, briefcase and more. Lots of options. Prices are great. It can be overwhelming as many booths carry the same items. Go with plenty of time to browse before you decide what to buy.

Zona Piel is packed with leather goods, shoes and handbags. Be sure to look around before buying and bargain for a good deal. We walked around and grabbed an adorable tote for 110 pesos before jumping on our bus to San Miguel de Allende.
