This area of the beach is less rocky and Beautiful. The water is shallow many feet out. The water is salty great for healing and comforting to my achy bones. We enjoy eating at the places near here like JJ's and Changos. An awesome beach bum spot.

We live coed the beach, the water was super clean and the right temperature. There was tons of venders, to get your taco and drinks. Be aware of broken glasses. There are millions of them.

If you keep driving from the resorts down the long dirt road, you get to the little area of Cholla Bay. It's beautiful in the sunrise and sunset, and the area is always bursting with life and energy. I came with my husband and we spent a few hours at the Tucson Beach, and it was so much fun playing... More

home to the infamous JJs cantina, you'll also get the best bay views. very built up now though so you need to go south of the main town to get to the beach. if you can time it right, one of the best times to go is low tide. if it's really low you can nearly walk across the bay.... More

Fortunate enough to visit often from Arizona! Great little area with friendly fun loving people. Local businesses for food and drinks make the a must stop while in Puerto Penasco! Recommend JJ's Cantina for drinks and fun as well as Xochitlas for breakfast or lunch! Try scottscondo.com if your looking for a place to stay while in Cholla Bay?

This was by far one of the best things of our trip loved the scenery and how quit it was. We visited peñasco in a busy weekend and the time we spent in cholla was just the best.

My husband and I wanted to find a new area to run on one of our days at Rocky Point. We drove out to Cholla Bay and ran the beach. It ended up being a bit hard to run because of the rockiness of the beach but we hopped and jumped and played on the rocks and then went up... More

We had rented quads and were riding them out on the peninsula and decided to check out Cholla Bay. The town itself is nice and quaint, with many pretty little houses throughout. The bays and the view were beautiful, it is definitely worth checking out.

Although it was a little rocky, we had a glorious swim and mini snorkeling expedition. We saw sergeant major and a few other fish. Very enjoyable.
