Great fun to wander in and out of the shops. Keep your eye out for lovely Mexican handmade crafts and talavera pottery. Bargaining is expected... but don't be insulting. Offer a reasonable price and go from there. Settling on about 3/4 of the seller's original asking price is a good place to settle!

This place is quite amazing, lots to see of Mexican hand made articles, people named the "curios" do not know why... maybe because as you walk you become "curious" about what you see. Any way, talk to the people selling there, ask them where they come from and ask thm if they speak a different language or dialect, you will... More

Love the stores here...there are some special and unique finds here. Prices are a bit better than the Malecon.

In preparation for the planned cruise ship terminal (2017...?), this shopping mall has been built to handle the anticipated traffic. Most of the locally produced goods that you find in the Old Port section are here, but spread along a wide street with plenty of parking. Restaurants have not yet followed but probably will. A nice alternative if you don't... More

The visit to Cholla Mall was fun with plenty of shops of all kinds. My friend and I felt very safe..the people are friendly. I found some very nice original art work which I didn't see in any other shops and we did plenty of shopping. One of the shops had some really good quality cotton clothes not as inexpensive... More

People who own property there and want to decorate it with Mexican arts and crafts go there for their shopping. It's one street about 1/2 mile long with stores selling everything from cheap trinkets to upscale art, vases, wall decorations, etc. It is also known as Rodeo Drive. While there is some hustling going on as you walk by a... More

This area is a good place to shop. There are numerous shops with a good variety of items. You should be able to find what you are looking for. Less pushy than the shops on the waterfront. My favorites are Consuelo's Arts and Crafts, and Su Casa.

Cholla Mall, what we called "Rodeo Drive" 20 years ago has become more charming and colorful over the years. The Mall is several blocks long. Easy parking (and free) along the main road. Some shops are filled with Mexican curio including endless objects of Oaxacan art and clothing, Telavara dishes, souvenir clothing, pottery, pewter, iron works, sea shells and so... More

This street mall has just about any type of Mexican souvenir that you might want, all reasonable priced. Fun to stroll down the quiet street and shop -
