We started the 2 hours with being berated for being late. We were NOT late and had to show them our paperwork to prove we were not lying. The machines were in I'll repair. My machine had bent handlebars and a splayed out right front tire. Both of my teenager's machines seats would not stay on. My son dumped his machine and we were charged $460 for a new carburetor and 1 rear body plastic. Low and behold we checked our bank and we were actually charged $562. We were told that the extra $102 was for bank fees. Needless to say we returned and spoke with the manager of the atv place and were told to bad, that is how it works. We then returned to the management company who set us up. We told them what happened and they handled it. We were returned $98 of the $102. A 2% bank fee is more reasonable than a 25% fee. I would NOT recommend this atv company to anyone!

The experience getting to the beach is a bit scary. You drive down several busy streets to get to the dunes. This aside once on the dunes it can be quite fun but take it easy getting used to the machines themselves if you haven’t driven one before.

Travelers should be very cautious of renting ATVs in Mexico. Best advice would be just don't do it. Do NOT hand over your driver's license and do NOT park your vehicle in there "safe" parking areas. You can easily be scammed into paying damage fees and cleaning fees while holding your car and license hostage. If you must rent an atv I recommend doing a full video walk around of the atv BEFORE you leave the lot and point out any damage prior to taking the vehicle. We got scammed at el pescado atv rentals for damage we didn't cause. They threatened to call the police and refused to give us our license and car back. If you do cause damage to an atv you will be charged thousands of dollars and your car will be impounded. My advice....DONT do it. Find other ways to enjoy your trip. Do the research and you will find this is an easy scam to fall victim to.
