interesting safe place to walk off resort

Stayed at Dreams Puerto Aventures and as the resort is tiny, the marina is a safe and interesting place to walk. It has small shops as well as dolphins, sea lions, and manatees.

This is quite a small marina, but pleasant enough for a stroll and to watch the dolphins. The supermarket Oxxo is very useful but the other shops do not display prices and they know that tourists can be gullible. Nice when the fishing boats come in after about 13.00 most days.

We stayed at a nearby Condo, so at night, we walked around the Marina. We ate in the restaurants, shopped in the stores, sipped cool drinks in the bars, and strolled to see the beautiful boats & yachts. A helpful fisherman opened a Conch for our daughter, so she could keep the shell.

Remember me!! Con man!! You rip tourists off!! Down on the lovely marina there are lovely restaurants and about 3 shops. 1 shop which is at the end by the restaurants has towels for sale outside and stands of stuff. Now go inside and its a fairly biggish shop. They were just shutting but we didn't realise and went in... More

This was lovely. Some really gorgeous catamarans and other sailing boats all anchored around the marina for you to have a look at. Some nice shops bars snd resraurants here too. Worth a visit.

It seemed something was amiss... Instead of snorkeling with our promised sharks and eels we were taken to a little cove , we were told the water was murky ... Though we could see the bottom clearly from the boat (hmmm), maybe boat problems? Or competition? granted it was ok we were expecting more...

If you are staying in Puerto, this is the area to eat. There are many restaurants to choose from and cute shops along the waterfront. Swim with dolphins or charter a fishing boat, it's all here!

We recently spent two weeks in Puerto Aventuras and visited the marina every day. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, and even a pharmacy all around the marina.
