Fatima Bay has beautiful, clear blue water, gentle waves, and a soothing view. My favorite thing in the world is to lie in a lounge chair with a book and a drink, listening to the surf and calls of the birds. It feels like a tiny hidden gem among the larger tourist beaches. I could happily stay there for hours.

We love this beach! The water is clear and calmer than a lot of areas when the seas are rough. It also has an area blocked off for little kids to play in very very calm water. The snorkeling is very good by the reef!

We love this area for its beautiful quiet beach. We are never bothered nor pestered and feel safe in the water and on shore. Glad to see the work is being done to preserve the sand and help to keep things healthy.

especially when I have it all to myself. Don't really want to say too much because Akumal Bay is now ruined thanks to the hoards of snorkel tours...

We were here 5 years ago and snorkeled everyday. Both of my children learned to swim at Fatima Bay (thank you salt water. Thank you ocean) We arrived this time to find the unsightly barriers and a good part of the beach washed away. The water was full of sargasso seaweed, which is unsightly and smells as it decays, but... More

This bay is very beautiful. The shallow waters are generally calm and peaceful but when the wind is up try any wind sport you like. Many condos on the bay actually have a view to the west so sunsets are spectacular.

Saw occasional ray, and fun to watch fish/ take pictures. My muscles like the ions in the ocean, so great stretching, and safe.

Over many years, a slow outward migration of sand has been taking place. There are many conjectures as to why, but human intervention seems to have reversed the tide (so to speak). A new man-made stone cage breakwater now extends across the bay in front of Omni Hotel. The shallow water inside the breakwater is sandy, very warm, and wave-free.... More

Love this place, more needs to be done to save the sand on the beach....but still one of my favs. A great place to walk for exercise or to stroll to watch sunrise and sunset.

The temporary barriers constructed to help hold what little sand that's left seem to be working..but they really destroy the beauty of the bay..it needed to be done as part of the overall Fatima Bay beach restoration project..so it will be nice when they are removed..but it's difficult to know when that may happen..right now it is hard to just...
