I can not recommend this beach enough. I have been there twice, once on a calm day, and once on an incredibly windy day, and it was amazing both times. We always rent a table and umbrella at the Xpu-Ha beach club right as you...More

This beach gives you the real carribean feeling. Many palmtrees, enough space to move, not crowded. The water is crystal clear, many fishes are in the water.

What a place to go and spend the day, there is plenty to do around the resort once you have finished your adventure. You can change your bus times if you let the staff know, 5* service throughout the day and the inc meals were...More

The beach is stunning, soft sand and the sea is clear, rock free and calm. We were in one of the bars and a band was playing but I will say service is atrocious. Fairly expensive to hire the sun loungers but I think it's...More

I was trying to find a nice place to kite board while staying in Akumal. I had been told that Xpu Ha allowed kiting. I payed the 80 pesos per person to access the beach, which pretty much all this gives you (and access to...More

Cure little local place - probably 80% locals/20% tourists, which we really enjoyed. Beachside bar/restaurant with decent to good food at good prices. Chairs, cabanas, etc. for beach lounging. Very pretty beach. Highly recommended.

Went to Xpu Ha beach today (12/29/2018). We arrived just before noon and got one of the last parking spots inside. Admission was 80 pesos pp. No additional parking fee. Beds/chairs were very hard to come by. The first place (south most operator) we asked...More

We have visited many beaches in the area and were extremely disappointed in our experience at Xpu-ha beach. We had read that it was 40 pesos a person and when we get to the gate we were charged 80. When trying to be budget conscious...More

We went to this beach a couple times with our 3 year old daughter. We had a blast, this beach is clean quiet and the water was perfect for a toddler.

I'm not aware but I'll ask around. When you get there, ask a local. They are friendly, helpful and proud to share knowledge. Have fun!

It is amazing! I’m here now. There is no where near as much seaweed as Playa del Carmen and other beaches.

Booked CRT for Septmber 23 through October 3rd! Yippeee! (8 Replies)
We have stayed at the Palladium 4 times, but have always wanted to try CRT. We love Xpu Ha Beach! So we have been keeping an eye out, and all the stars aligned for this hotel, these dates! I don't think we got an amazing deal, but we are happy with the hotel, the flights, and the price. We might have gotten it for a little les if we had waited, but in my experience... if you find the flights you want, you'll never regret booking them. We stayed in a condo on Half Moon Bay, in Akumal...More

Directions to Xpu-Ha beach? (5 Replies)
We are in PV now and hope to go to this beach tomorrow. I know it is just south of here but I am not sure how it is marked on the highway. I believe we need to head towards a certain beach bar/restaurant where we pay for parking. We have a car so we will be driving on our own. Any help is very much appreciated.

do you mean Puerto Aventuras? PV as in Puerto Vallarta is on the west coast of Mexico. We went last May to La Playa Beach Club with friends. There is pretty good signage but you do need to watch for it. Entry fee is 40 pesos pp refundable when you show your receipt that you spent at least 120 pesos pp for drinks and food, easy to do. Nice place and a beautiful beach, clean restrooms as well.

sand fleas at xpu-ha beach (2 Replies)
With all the talk of limited beach chairs I thought no big deal I'll just through out a beach towel and enjoy. I had no problem in Mazatlan with this but Negril had sand fleas that would deter you from laying directly on the beach. Is this an issue at Xpu-Ha beach

I have never experienced sand fleas anywhere in MX. I am alergic to them so I am sure I would notice.
