Wonderful place to spend the day. Take the bus from Zihuatanejo or Ixtapa to Playa Linda. Get off and admire the crocodiles. Walk across the beach to the dock and purchase a ticket to go to the Island. It is close enough to see clearly...More

We spent the day there but the beach is on such an angle its hard to get comfortable in your chair without sliding out, the beach is a bit rocky. We still had fun but don't set the expectations too high.

It a very short distance. I took the boat shuttle, but in a kayak, it might take about 20 minutes or so. I would estimate the distance at about 500 hundred meters or a bit more. Not far at all. Hope this helps!
