We enjoyed a wine tasting at this Valpolicella family vineyard, hosted by Deborah who was both lovely and knowledgable. The wines were excellent and it was a fun experience, accompanied by a delicious cheese and meat plate which Deborah expertly paired with the wines. We booked in advance online. Highly recommended.

We attended this winery on a Friday and it was only us and one other couple so it was a nice small tour. Tour was informative but best was the wine tasting which is paired with some food to fully enjoy the wine. We ended up ordering a case of wine, three different vintages of Amarone and 6 bottles of the yummy Valpolicella Rispasso. We were pleasantly surprised that it arrived by Monday, super fast. We are looking forward to enjoying these great wines more at home.

Had a tour and tasting at Le Bignele during our tour of Northern Italy in September and must say it was one of the high points of our holiday. The vineyard is set in stunning countryside and the drive to it is scenic.

Our guide/host Silvia was very knowledgeable and friendly and spoke perfect English (Which was much appreciated as I am just learning Italian!). The tour was really interesting and we loved learning about the different processes used to make their wines.

The wine tasting was really excellent. Each wine was paired with the right kinds of cheeses or sweet biscotti to bring out the best in it. I thought this was a really nice touch. The tour and tasting costs 10 euros each (I believe) but if you buy 2 bottles or more of wine each, then the tour is free.... needless to say we didn't end up paying for our tour and have a lovely stash of fantastic wine to enjoy now we're back home :)

If you are in the Verona/Lake Garda area give Le Bignele a try, its a wonderful experience.

We booked our tour via email and I must say that the responses from them were really quick and everything is very professionally run.

We had a wonderful tour and tasting. Caterina was our host and she did a great job explaining the wine making process and the special care that they take at Le Bignele.
We enjoyed all of their wines, took a few bottles with us and arranged to have some shipped to the USA. Can't wait for the wine to arrive!

We found them through an offer on Groupon! So lucky! After having tested and visited many many amarones and wineries, I can state that Le bignele is great spot , with great people and most of all with great wine at reasonable price! Their Amarone for 25 € is the best wine in all the area ( maybe as good as fratelli vogadori)! U can even sleep at the winery on the top of the hill! High recommended ! Simply good

I called in the morning to ask if there were wine tastings but they were fully booked. Normally these include a whole tour but we only wanted to taste the wines we wanted to buy - which is normal in most wineries. The lady on the phone said come anytime between 2.00 and 5.00pm. When we arrived and I asked to taste the wines I wanted to purchase the shop lady said no she only has 5 minutes for us and we can only try three wines. I would have been happy to pay for tasting the wines (the tour didn’t interest us) and made this clear. She then charged us 5 euro for tasting the 4th extra wine which by the way costs 6 euro a bottle... we were ready to buy A LOT of wine but settled on just a few bottles due to very rude service.

Dear Madame, I'm Silvia Le Bignele winery, we spoke on the phone and I'm so sorry you had so bad experience in our winery ! We are not snob or we aren't "not interested to sell our wines", we were simply busy. ;-D Maybe you arrived in a very busy time and all staff was dedicate to people who arrive before you and reserve tour and tasting. All people are welcome in our winery without reservation or with reservation but, you understand, if you make a reservation there is a person dedicate to you and you have the priority. If you don't have it, we try always to find a solution like to wait some time and make a unique group with other people or try some wines in few times at price of 1€ per kind of wine you decided to taste. Maybe you didn't understand or we didn't explain that in correct way. I'm sure you understand and we hope to received soon your reservation All the best

My husband and I were very lucky to arrive at this property right before the wine tasting. We tasted 6 different wines accompanied with some cold cuts. It was a very pleasant experience, we learned a lot about valpolicello wine making. The wine was delicious so we bought a few bottles of it. The surroundings and view from the winery were beautiful, we took some nice photos of the wineyard.

We were planning to stop at a Winery when travelling from Lago di Garda to the Venice coast line and we just randomly selected the Le Bignele Winery based on a recent review. Normally, regardless of destination, you struggle to find the genuine experiences but this stop fully delivered.

We were given a tour of the operations with detailed explaination on the different steps of the process which ended with a spontanious wine tasting. We had not scheduled a tour or tasting but everything was managed with a smile and perfectly managed. By the way, the wine tasted so good we ordered a selection of bottles to be delivered directly home. Yesterday we opened the first one and it brought us right back to our wonderful experience at Le Bignele.

This was our destination on our Amarone Sunday tour with Davide of Pagus Wine Tours. Silvia, our hostess, was charming and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the wine and Monteveronese cheeses. Have ordered wine sent to our temporary Veneto address and plan to order more as we return to the states. Liked all the wines but the 2013 Ripasso is our favorite.
