A bucket list trip for some of us. Headed to Rio Grande then up to the mountains. Gorgeous views, cool temperatures. Ventured into Juquila. Kiko was excellent with information about the area, culture and history. The town is bigger than I expected crawling up and down the hillside. We visited the main streets then into the Church and attended Mass and viewed the Virgins Veil. Leaving town the clouds hugged the mountains and the rain poured. No rain at Rio Grande so headed for Puesta del Sol for a delicious meal on Manialtepic Lagoon. Would recommend Kiko and Eco Adventures for any trips or transportation needs. Don y Peggy

I have to admit I was hesitant about this tour, but WOW! I felt like I was in a Tron movie......my whole body was glowing once I jumped in the water and the fish that swam by were glowing as well......simply amazing. It's a short van ride to the lagoon and then a quick boat ride in the evening, which was greatly refreshing, to find the exact spot. We spot 20-30 minutes playing in the lagoon and finding out how impossible it is to photograph, I would have posted a photo, before heading back.

We had a really great evening with Kiko - first we went to release the baby turtles, we were the only people on the beach with Kiko and the turtle volunteers. It was beautiful. Then we went to lagoon - it was almost a full moon so we didn't expect to see much bioluminescence but it didn't matter, the ride in the moonlight on the small boat and swimming was fantastic. Really beautiful experience. Kiko's english is perfect, he's got a great sense of humor, he's a fun young entrepreneur to talk with. Highly recommended.

Turtle nests are dug up and placed in a nursery so they can be sold to tourists. This is not a conservation project it is a money making scam. Turtles need to reach the sea soon after they are born or they will not have enough energy to survive. One turtle hatched naturally, then 200 plus happened to be available for sale to tourists. I have no idea where these turtles came from or how long they have been hanging around for. The turtle nests should be monitored and turtles allowed to hatch naturally. They feed you garbage about increasing the survival rate. However there is no way of knowing how many of these turtles will survive, I doubt very many they looked weak and unresponsive

Pickup was 6:45. Drove for an hour and 15 to collect everyone else. We weren't even sure we were headed to the right spot because it took so long. The tour said it was in English but the driver and then the captain didn't actually speak English so we had a bit of uncertainty there. There was a man who did a pretalk before we left in English but that was the extent. You take a boat that seats about 12 out with a group of people to a tent in the lagoon where there are other boats as well. You then jump in the water to swim in to a tent so you can see the bioluminescence for about 10-15 minutes. Unless you do that you don't see it. Got dropped back at the hotel about 10:00. So a lot of time invested for not a lot. Also they should mention it's not suitable for little kids as a family on our boat just sat there with their unhappy crying children waiting for everyone else. Felt bad for them. Not at all like bioluminescence we saw in Puerto Rico for example. So I think you just need to know a bit better what you can actually expect. Sorry.

Hello guys! So sorry for this inconvenience. This was not our team that did the tour. Your guide that was going to take you had an emergency with a sudden Infection of Dengue.*is still sick* We thought you would have recieved a better service. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I deeply apologize for this problem. I did not want to cancel the tour so we requested a different supplier. So sorry If you are still in Puerto please let me know at 954 1112794 and I will try to make up this experience with another. Lo siento.

The actual Bioluminescent part was amazing, we were lucky that it was cloudy during the full moon so we got to see the effect. The actual tour started off ok, the driver messaged me through WhatsApp and kept us informed of pick up time. So far so good. But here's where things went bad, the actual boat tour was over sold. They had 10 seats on the boat and put 16 people on it, this changed the weight of the boat and they had to reassign seats to balance that out. Which wouldn't be a big deal, but when you book a trip with your spouse you want to sit next to them. We weren't able to sit together for the trip, and weren't the only couple that got separated. When we arrived to the middle of the lake we were rushed off the boat, they had a tent set up in the middle of the lake so that you could go in and experience the effect even on cloudy nights. But since it was oversold it was pretty crowded in there, and hard to move around without bumping into people. The other issue was the life vest, they had several there but they didn't all have buckles, and since it's pitch black out there it's hard to figure out the size.

I would not recommend this company for a tour, we did several other tours in Puerto Escondido that we booked through our hotel that were amazing. Talk to your hotel and they can usually book trips for you.

My biggest issue was that it was overcrowded, it was unsafe to have 7 extra people on a boat. I understand that September is a slow season for the area, but trying to make up for it with overselling isn't the answer.

Last, we had booked the tour in English, but it was in Spanish. Fortunately we both understand Spanish, but they shouldn't advertise something that they can't do.

This tour was awesome! It was the perfect conditions. Our tour guide Kiko picked us up from where we were staying making this tour super convenient. He drove us to the activity. He was very honest letting us know the Bioluminescent happens in certain conditions. We went hoping for the best and it was so worth it! Kiko made every moment of this activity enjoyable. He speaks great English and was able to translate everything for me. He helped me overcome my little fear of jumping in dark lagoon! It was so worth it. We saw it and the experience was super adventurous. I highly recommend this tour!

We were picked up on time and then spent ~1 hour in the shuttle van, picking up other members of the group and getting to the lagoon. We took a 20 minute boat road to the far end of the lagoon and then swam for ~20 minutes before returning to shore. The lagoon itself, including the boat ride, is really nice. The time in the water with the bio-luminescence is unlike anything I have seen or experienced. It's really amazing and, the slight anxiety about being in dark water in the nighttime adds to the overall sensation. I super recommend this trip.

NOTE: IF YOU WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE IN PUERTO AND BOOK WITH A LOCAL TOUR GROUP, IT WILL BE *MUCH* CHEAPER (~200-300 PESOS CHEAPER)

What a cool thing to witness and be a part of! We were picked up at our hotel and a short van ride later arrived at the turtle beach. We had the opportunity to check out the turtles, hold them, and finally during the most beautiful sunset I've seen we all set the turtles down in the sand to begin the trek to the open ocean..........I thought at first it sounded like a super "Touristy" thing to do, but it's now one of the things I tell people not to miss!!!

This tour, activity and practice of releasing baby turtles had me cringe. I felt very uncomfortable being encouraged to handle baby turtles without gloves all for Instagram snaps. This is purely hatcheries exploiting turtles. Watching, and worst, participating in this activity made me feel guilty that I had been part of this charade. If you love turtles, stay away.
