One of the highlights of our trip! We were able to learn so much about the local preservation efforts and saw a lot of beautiful indigenous wide life! Worth the time to take the tour!

This is trip to see the glowing night time waters was just a short trip from our hotel and not expensive. we felt that it was really not very exciting and not worth the money.

I would recommend goofing as late as possible as the darker it is the more bioluminescence will show. Also if your Spanish is good you can go straight to the lagoon and deal the price there as it will be way cheaper than if... More

You can check the lunar calendar to see where your trip falls during the moon cycle. I can not recommend a bioluminescent tour when there is a lot of moonlight, but during the darker 1/2 of the month, others have said it is... More

To hire kayaks, no tour operators are needed, just take a collectivo or taxi to Puesta del Sol lodge/restaurant. Go early, it gets very hot in late morning.
