The cove after a long drive down the valley is, breathtaking.
The same can be said for the parking fees and fines.
You have 5 minutes before charges kick in, there is no app to make payment or contact details for payment to be made by phone, but they have CCTV that picks up your registration.

If the machine is broken you will receive a fine of £100 plus £15 admin charges and 50p to process payment if you exceed 5 minutes, even though we checked at the cafe and they said it would be fine due to the machine being broken.
We have since found out that if the machine is broken, as it was when we visited, it isn't fine, you have 5 minutes to get out of there or you will get a PCN sent to you and a fight on your hands.

Such a shame that this cove has not adopted the payment methods that other areas have adopted throughout Cornwall. Driver beware. Its beautiful but costly.

I fought mine as the company that administers the fines did not contact me in a timely manner and I got it reduced but it was very hard work. The onus being placed on the driver to prove that they had not contacted me, but I still had to pay £60.50 for 23 mins and 36 seconds of parking in a car park where I was unable to pay due to their faulty equipment. Nearly £2.50 per minute.

Driver beware, a visit to Lamorna could be one of the biggest costs of your holiday.

We came here 14 years ago and it was idyllic. Unfortunately, the owner has taken it upon themselves to outsource their parking to "Premier Park".

So if you'd like to buy overpriced ice cream from their dirty looking rundown cafe be warned that you'll be hit with a £100 parking fine the week later if you so much as get caught in a queue leaving the car park.

And if you are going there to fish don't bother, there are better marks elsewhere.

Having carried out a bit of a local tour we dropped in here for an hour. Ok the road in is not the best but hey if you can't drive properly stay away. Parked the car and paid our £1.00 for an hour. I've seen reviews where people complain about the ANPR that takes place but please read the signs it no different in other parts of the country.
This is one idillic place and a total place to chill, so glad the place isn't inundated with campervans etc it's what makes it special
The cafe was practicing social distancing very well and gives you a buzzer to let you know that your order is ready
Not bad value and dogs are welcome.
We are planning to go back and spend some time on the beach and in the crystal blue water.
We simply don't appreciate living in Cornwall what we have down here

It was a very wild wet and windy day 12th December 2019 when we drove down into lamorna cove to see if the cafe was open. As there was no way of turning round drove down to the bottom to turn round. It was now pouring with rain so we turned round to drive back to the main road. Half way back we had to stop and remove a large branch that had blown onto the track. Due to poor state of the track and weather conditions this took 19 minutes. According to premier parking it was our responsibility to have got out of the car and read the parking sign which were obscured by the then torrential rain. At our age 69 and 72 it not something we would have under the circumstances. Premier parking and the owner of lamorna cove are just plain greedy.

i arrived to find that you could only pay to park with coins, ( no change had been given by shops for months) there is no change facility and I was lucky to get change from the cafe , paid and got a £100 ticket for the time looking for change. It is not possible to back date you payment. The parking aggression ruins this lovely cove.

It's all about the underwater world here. Snorkelling and diving are amazing. If snorkelling head out *around* the breakwater then along the rocks for an amazing experience, like being in an aquarium. Easy shore diving for scuba too as you can kit up at your car then it's straight down the slipway. Fantastic conditions. There are toilets and a cafe on-site (with outdoor tap).

This is truly one of the most beautiful and accessible dives in Cornwall - it's right up there with Porthkerris, and for snorkelling I'd go as far to say as it has the edge.

The site is very sheltered is less weather dependent than other sites (it's more protected from easterlies than Porthkerris).

Downside is the parking is a bit of a mess. There's not many spaces so get here early if you can. Car park machine only takes coins (no cards and there's no app). Pay first before doing anything else as the grace period is pretty short and apparently they have ANPR cameras (I've never had a problem myself, but others have).

Like hundreds of others I didnt read the reviews until it was too late !
Arrived Easter week, place was a ghost town. Sat in car for 5 mins due to dull drizzle and then decided to pay and walk for an hour. Paid for an hour.
The cove is beautiful but there are much better coves in Cornwall.
Because I didnt pay immediately the 5 minutes initial parking enduced a £100 parking ticket 2 weeks later with a very generous discount to £60 if paid within 14 days. Spoilt the holiday as this is now the only memory. Greedy landowners making a living from ruining Beauty spots, why would they need to open the cafe or paint the building, provide open toilets at Easter or even a waste bin. Please don't visit Lamora, its just not worth it!

We did the coastal walk from Mousehole, unfortunately my husband twisted his knee and knew he would not be able to make the return journey, we stopped at the cafe, a very unfriendly welcome. Asked for a taxi number which they gave, I walked around trying to get mobile reception nothing,! Went back to the cafe and ask if I could pay to use their phone, she replied only takes incoming calls.

I left my husband there and walked back to Mousehole to get the car to come back and pick him up, meantime a taxi dropped someone off so he got it back, the Taxi driver then informed us that the lady in the Cafe made out going calls for taxis before.

She was unpleasant, unhelpful and played on the fact she had a captive audience, for poor service, and below par refreshments.

Won’t be visiting there again!

If no stars was an option then this would be what they were getting.
We drove there in torrential rain and didn’t even see any parking signs. We felt sorry for the cafe as the weather was so terrible and so spent a small fortune on cake and hot chocolate, which we ate sitting in the car. In total we were there 20 minutes and today I received a parking ticket for £100. I grew up in Cornwall and am usually very observant about parking machines and I am left absolutely disgusted by the sharp practice exercised here. I would never have thought that I would need to look up on trip adviser for a car park, but be warned, do not park here. There are hundreds of victims of these horrible people, and I don’t know how they sleep at night. Nasty, nasty, nasty.
