Safari World is no longer in operation. It will move to Phnom Penh. Not even the locals was aware that it closed down. . If you want to experience Koh Kong, Triple "E" Adventure Tours are the people to work with. They are clued up and know what is cooking in this beautiful fishing villiage.

Drove out there to find out they have closed down. Pity no one seems to know this even in town u ask for directions they will tell you but no one will yell u or they don't know its closed down. So don't waste your time from what I understand they moved to Phnom Penh .

This place only opens when it suits them I think.
Mainly on holidays and maybe weekends. But certainly not open on the Tuesday that I wanted to go !

What better guide could I have than Rin Ra, facebook Cambodia in Comfort, as this is his birth place. Unlike Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, the atmosphere of Koh Kong is so relaxing.
The Crocodile Show at the Safari would have to be one of the world's best. The men in the arena with those monsters, doing what seems unbelievable is a must see.
The Safari World also has a Bird Show, Boxing Monkeys and the Tiger Show. When the first show concludes the audience moves through the park to the next show and so on. You get to see all 4 shows on the one entry fee. A great time for both young and older.

Monkey Shines @ the Frontier
May 2013 • Family
On the Cambodia – Thailand frontier about 10 kms outside of Koh Kong is Safari World. It’s a zoo/amusement park that attracts visitors from all over southern Cambodia and southeastern Thailand. The park is known for its four animal attractions/performances: 1. the “boxing monkeys”. Actually a humorous vignette with orangutans in various costumes with one episode a boxing match. 2. The Bird Show. A variety of trained birds, macaws, parrots perform card tricks and interact with patrons. After the raucous orangutan show, the bird tricks come off low-key. 3. the Crocodile Show. That’s anything but low-key. Two fearless crocodile cowboys manage to somehow hypnotize the crocs, putting them in a kind of stupor and literally risk head and limb by placing them in the tranced-out croc’s mouth. 4.the Tiger Show. The big cats jump through flaming hoops and other routines, though the performance wasn’t boring, it didn’t have the same element of danger as the croc act.
Safari World also has one of the best laid out zoos with the healthiest selection of animals I’m seen in a developing country.
The wife and kids thoroughly enjoy the Safari World experience. So much so we’ve gone 5 times in the last two years, even though it entails a three day excursion.

Zoo visit
Well worth a visit. $12 expats but presents 4 different shows throughout the day - tigers, birds, orangutans and crocodiles. Very entertaining. The rest of the zoo is I bit run down and a number of animals don't seem to be there now eg performng dolphins - none at all.
