We stopped here on our way up to Ushguli. It's clearly a tourist attraction but you can listen to the story why and then climb up inside the tower. Strangely, there's no view from the top floor as there's only one small window very high up.
Worth a stop off though as you don't get to climb any of the towers in Ushguli

The entrance price is 2 gel and only cash is acceptable. There is no designated countries as such . Just there is an old lady who collects cash and then allows you to move forward .
There is an old legend story for this structure and it says that if you go inside 3 times then you will be married within 1 year .
There is river flowing behind the structure as well . And a small well .

Mestia is full of fabulous towers and this is one of them you can visit. There is a legendary love story attached to this tower. Visit it and find out.

It's a place to stop on your way to Ushguli. A lady collects your money at the gate. Nice to be able to go up in a tower, but very dangerous ladders to the various levels.

When you travel to this love tower you have to ask your driver or locals that they tell you the love story of this tower.

This love tower is unique tower in Svaneti. It has different type of top. All svanetian tower was built for military reason, but love tower purpose is different. It related to one love story, which is nice, this is like Svanetian Romeo and Juliette.

This is generally a strange Svan tower. It was built on a huge boulder on the banks of the Inguri River, and there are no villages nearby. Svan towers were also built outside villages, but usually on hills. However, this tower stands in a lowland near the river and its purpose is unclear.
There are only high mountains with wooded slopes around. The place is romantic and, naturally, there are a lot of legends about this.
According to one of the legends, a rich Svan had a daughter whose fiancé went to war. Relevant, if you consider that just on this day, when we were in this tower, mobilization for war began in Russia (or, as they call it, for a special military operation). However, the young man died (also very relevant), and the girl did not believe in his death and was still waiting for his return. And the girl’s father, seeing her suffering, built a tower by the road, where she waited for her lover all her life, crying, and her tears joined the soul of her lover in the river. By the way, there seems to be a spring near the boulder, which becomes visible when the water in the Enguri subsides. The water from the spring is the girl's tears. Overall sad. And guess what the conclusion is.
The second legend says that a young beautiful Svan fell in love with an equally beautiful Svan. But bad luck, their parents were against marriage, and then there were traditions, bonds and all that. But the young people were modern people and fled to this tower. The guy went hunting to get food. The young bride sat down to wait for her beloved at the top of the tower, but he never appeared. There are options that one of his relatives killed him or pushed him off a cliff into the river. And the girl remained sitting with her head down. Her hair grew longer and longer, falling lower and lower along the wall of the tower. Over the years, they grew to the river that flows by the tower and became completely gray. Even more sad. What is the conclusion? Old stupid traditions killed two young people. Simply put, the past in the form of old men (or, in today’s terms, boomers) decides the future of the young, completely destroying it. Relevant.
The third option comes down to the following. A girl fell in love with a guy, but he already has a wife and children. It turned out that he also fell in love with the girl and was going to leave, leaving his family. The girl’s father knew about this and blamed the guy for all this mess. He decided to either punish or kill the guy, and when he was hunting, he either pushed him off a cliff, or somehow caused him to fall. And the girl, having learned about the death of her lover, lost her zest for life and asked her father to build a separate funeral tower by the river, where she would spend the rest of her life in solitude. It should be noted that in this case, too, some old boomer is to blame for interfering in the lives of the young.
There is a variation when a girl fell in love with a guy who already had a wife and children. Not knowing what to do and torn between his wife and his lover, the guy went hunting and hunted recklessly, as a result of which he died by falling into the Enguri. His wife, in despair over the death of her husband, lost interest in life and also rushed to Enguri. It seems that they both turned into trout (such a fish). The grief-stricken girl asked her father to build a tower on a rock near Enguri. The father fulfilled his daughter's only request. Since then, she lived in this tower and with her own hands every day she fed the guy and his wife, who became trout. Touching. You can burst into tears. Perhaps, only here the older generation cannot be blamed for anything, unlike the three previous cases.
The Tower of Love belongs to some Svan family. There is an entrance fee. There are only three floors and climbing up is not difficult.
