Terrific view and excellent organic wine!We went twice and enjoyed different plates. The "kotsi" plate was delicious! Tourists usually appreciate Santorini sunset but this one is even more special because it's not touristic at all. Originally made by Mr.George Manalis and his family. He used to be a local Fisherman and a builder. Until he went on this piece of land and envisioned a winery, just because "life is a conquest" as he told us. Every night he shows his guests the procedure of wine making through photos of the production. In order to protect the plants from insects, he pays 7000e to workers who "feed" the land with peas plants and make the insects go away(a pesticide costs only 500e but guess what you will be drinking in your wine?!)
Now I've read that some people didn't really like the food or the first impression welcome. 🤔 In a place like this,on an island of 200 residents, completely left in their destiny by the Greek government (but taxed the same as Mykonos or Santorini), I don't expect the attitude of a 5 star resort. I appreciate the authentic attitude and natural kindness of the local people (nevertheless the waiters spoke both English and French). So even if you are just sailing around the Greek islands, make sure you take a taxi or the local bus to enjoy the sunset at this winery. 🍷 🥂 🍷 🥂 OH! And don't forget to taste the "liosato",a red sweet wine as a desert!

We had a lovely evening at this fabulous winery - completely unexpected on such a small island. The location is spectacular for watching the sunset. Wine was delicious and food good. You can go and eat or just have a glass of wine here - but either way it’s a beautiful place!
Thanks so much for a fabulous evening and good luck with your venture!
Totally recommend a visit!

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Sikinos! The view is amazing for sunset and the winery is really great! However the food and the service were average! Our main courses took very long and they didn’t really taste that good! The first courses were good! Going for a wine is a must!

Good initiative for Sikinos to put it again on the map as wine growing area, nice setting for a drink/dinner at sunset. Unfortunately that’s it.
We mailed ahead to visit the winery and reserve a table: no reply.
One is offered free sips of the basic white, rose and red wine. Really below standard: flat white, rose OK if you like it, red harsh and even bitter. We had called ahead to taste the Mavrotragano but we’re now told this was not possible. Only by the bottle at 40€ while all others are also offered by the glass.
So we moved to the lower balcony restaurant and ordered appetizers with a glass of white and rose: basic salad and chewy tomatokeftedes. And many dishes on the menu were not available “today”. Just to say that we even didn’t care to order main dishes and left quite disappointed by the quality of wine, food and spirit of the people.
Let’s hope they are willing to make an effort and become a plus for the island.

Me and my husband just went to Manalis for an aperitif not the restaurant, but I agree with all the previous bad reviews. I can confirm that the owner of the place was really unpolite and did not receive us in a very welcoming way, just filling up our glasses and looking at us without explaining how the thing worked (it's self-service and you have to take your glasses with you outside on the balcony). Very expensive prices for wines not much more than mediocre. The only good thing is the view, but I am not sure it's worth, as you can find it in many other places!

The sunset views here are an absolute must-see if you visit Sikinos. The wine is also excellent, I tried all three varieties, had a glass of red with dinner and bought a bottle of white (reasonably priced at €10.50) to take away.
What lets is down is the food. My starter was fine, as was the dessert, but the main was mediocre - lamb shank with potatoes, the potatoes were undercooked and there was no sauce or much seasoning to give it any flavour. Such a shame when it could easily be the best restaurant on the island!

Too much fuss about nothing! The worst restaurant I've ever been while visiting Greece. Bad amd rude service, food quality questionable. Nice view but you could find this anywhere on the island. Save your money and go somewhere else.

It’s clear a lot of time and love has gone into building this winery. The decor inside and out is very stylish.
We visited as part of an organised tour, wine tasting with lunch. The food was beautiful. Unfortunately during the wine tasting we were provided with no information about what we were tasting, how or when it was produced. If these aspects were addressed this place has real potential!

A place of stunning beauty, amazing wine and great food. In many ways this place encapsulates the unique spirit of the island.
