Be prepared to spend a good hour checking out this unique shop and museum. It's certainly a "must do" when in Morelia. Only a few small blocks down the main street from the Cathedral. Try and buy the local favourites. The staff are dressed up in unique costumes, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

Went back after a while and still loved it! I feel this is a good, quick visit for any tourists or locals enjoying downtown Morelia. They show you the history about the traditional candy and the way thy used to do it a long time ago. The store they have with all the candy is so beautiful and the things they sell are delicious. Worth a visit!

This charming museum offers a guided tour of a candy factory from the past. It’s almost like stepping back in time. If you take one of the cities’ bus tours that leave from the front of the cathedral, they will drop you off here and offer you a discount if you present your city tour ticket. So do that first and hold onto your ticket. Not only do you watch a film about the history of candy making in Morelia, but they also offer you a tour of the place and a demonstration of how the candy was made. In addition, you get to taste different types of candy and purchase some if you wish. An excellent way to spend an hour or so with your family. It is all indoors so you can go there even if it rains.
