It's a beautiful church! The interior is marvelous and you can see the great artisan work in all the walls. A must see if interested in religious buildings

The ornate decorations inside this sanctuary are painted in a shade of pinkish lavender and feature hibiscus flowers on the ceiling, quite a departure from the more European style of the Cathedral. It is a lovely small scale and the realistic floral designs in this sanctuary make a very personal impression. It is a beautiful example of a New World... More

This was the most beautiful church I have ever laid eyes upon - the decor was simply breath-taking. We took a trolley tour of the historical city and stopped here to visit. It is a MUST see when visiting Morelia

Mexican Culture can not be understood without "La Virgen de Guadalupe". Millions of people have her image in their houses, millions of workers have "altares" to her in their works. Millions of people pilgrimage every year (mostly on december the 12th) to see her in the temples, the must important one is in México City, the name of the temple... More

This is such a beautiful little church, with a mostly pink interior. Large murals depict monks educating indigenous people, teaching them carpentry skills, etc. Beautiful tiles, and dazzling gold. The church is almost adjacent to the colossal statue of Morelos, and within view of the Aqueduct, so you can make an afternoon of sightseeing in a small area.

It's amazing how can the builders were able to put so many details in such a small church. Lots of golden panels and ornaments everywhere. Nice...

One does not have to be Christian to appreciate the incredible beauty of this Sanctuary. Small, but significant - this by far, outranks all other Cathedrals I've visited. I cannot help but be in awe of the workmanship that was put into this incredible structure - and wish there was documentation about the architects and artists who put this masterpiece... More

Have seen many churches in Italy, however, this Mexican church is unique all on its own. No marble but plenty of gold. Absolutely a must to see while in Morelia.
