The little bit of water left to form the "lake" is carried by the Vajont torrent, now trapped and made poor first by man and then by climate change (which always derives from man), after having powered mills, sawmills and every other form of life. Today, sixty years after the enormous disaster, the remaining basin is very little and does not allow us to even imagine the flourishing valley of the past, nor the ambitious project that foolishly wanted to carry it out, with the disastrous outcome that we know well.
