I had an excellent fishing and catching day with Captain Lalo and Owner Loic.Fishing for Rooster Fish has always been my dream and once we got to our first spot the first Rooster was on in 10 minutes. I was told that the Rooster Fish was the best fighting fish on light tackle you could experience. Well I wasn’t disappointed. Captain Lalo and Owner Loic worked hard to find the Roosters and when I hooked into my first Rooster the fight was on! I was so impressed on how much drag they took out before I was able to land them. I was able to land 5 Rooster Fish thanks to the great fishing spots they took me to. I highly recommend fishing with Exotic Fishing Los Cabos. You will not be disappointed.

Exotic Fish Cabo was amazing. Loïc and Lolo were courteous, patient, and professional. We caught seven fish and a propeller in 6 hours: African Pompano, Red Snapper, Amberjack, Spanish Macarel, two Groupers, Needlefish, and a Roosterfish. They hooked us up with a young man who cleaned them (minus the Needlefish and propeller) for us and we had a great dinner. Highly recommended, they know what they are doing!

Highest recommendation! The Captain is a true profession fisherman with global fishing experience that utilizes high quality gear and modern fishing techniques(which if you travel fish is not common).When it comes to roosterfish there is no one that is more of an expert at successfully targeting the species(my trip we landed 60lb, 65+lb, and a 75-80lb rooster all in one day!) he understands their migratory and behavioral patterns with the attention to detail of a marine biologist. If you are a serious angler looking for a professional guide with a proven track record of success this is the one!

This trip was extremely awesome! The first 45 minutes it was a little bit hot and then it cooled off and the sea of Cortez came to life! We caught a bunch of different types of fish. Toward the end we were competing with sharks to get our fish in the boat. As we reeled in, the sharks were going after our catch! It was an amazing experience and Captain Lalo made it that much more enjoyable. GO FOR IT !!!

Took exotic fish cabo for a 6 hour trip on my honeymoon. My fiancé decided to hit the spa while I hit the water. Was a great experience, far better than other guides I have taken. I do a lot of freshwater fishing, but do not get the chance to fish salt water often. We caught several rooster fish and a 60 lb tuna. We also had a dorado on the line, but it broke off at the boat. The captain and deckhand were very nice and knowledgeable. One of the best parts of the trip was the scenery. We cruised the coast of the Baja peninsula and saw many schools of bait fish, manta rays jumping, schools of mahi jumping, tuna schooling, and birds working the water. Brought some tuna back to the resort to cook and tipped the guides with some $$ and the remaining tuna. Will gladly take them out again when I return.

I had a great trip targeting Rooster fish and caught a few other species. It was great learning the live bait technique and after a number of missed fish, I was able to hook up all by myself on a Grouper and Rooster. I am looking forward to fishing with Exotic Fish Cabo again and going after some other new species to check off my bucket list.

Overall I had a great trip and despite the increasing windy conditions, Loic continued to work hard trying different baits and spots. He never gave up and with about 10 minutes left in the trip, we hooked into and released a great rooster fish. I also caught a nice jack early on in the day. We never gave up and were rewarded with a great fish in the end.

We had the best trip with these guys! We booked this trip w/Exotic Fish Cabo specifically for snagging a rooster fish (bucket list) and these guys did not disappoint! Not only did we catch several rooster fish, we also reeled in a mahi-mahi and a nice shiny jack! FANTASTIC time! You will not be disappointed with these guys!

My husband had a fabulous time with Loic and Lalo. He did two days over Thanksgiving break 2022. My husband wanted to try fly fishing and Loic was very helpful in making sure he brought the right gear and flies to give it a go. The fly fishing was fun for my husband but water was pretty rough so he switched to trolling. They caught 2 rooster fish almost right away on the first day and then 2 Dorados later that same day. One was female so they released it but kept the other. They saw whales and a black Marlin jumped as they all three were looking in the same direction. They decided the next day they were going for marlin. The next day marlin were jumping and chasing but no catches... instead my husband brought back 2 Dorado (one HUGE one). It was awesome. He had a blast getting to know Loic and Lalo and learning the ways of fishing in Cabo. My husband said he'd definitely fish with Loic and Lalo again. Our resort cooked up the Dorado that night and it was amazing! They made ceviche, sashimi, grilled, and fried fish so we could try it all ways of preparing it.

They couldn't take us out fishing because the harbor said no boats could go out (weather). Kept our deposit and when I asked what he did to earn our $ he said I don't respect the hard work of Mexican people insinuating that I'm some kind of racist. He also uses a form of payment for the deposit which gives you no recourse to fight it and is a pain to set up. Bad experience all the way around.

First of all you forget to say that I called you early in the morning to save you a round trip cab for nothing (60USD). After that I offered you to postpone your trip to the next day which you refused ! As stated in our terms and conditions that you received in each email during our correspondence, no deposit is refunded in case of bad weather forcibly if you refuse to reschedule !...
To make you happy, I offered to refund half of your deposit. You got angry and disrespected me.

I went 2 days with them - his price was the same both days - I am assuming he may have slightly different pricing for different charters and seasons - what I will tell you is the other people I met at the resort that I was staying at went out of the same marina with different captains and were not happy - I was so happy the first day I booked a second trip the next day and will definitely be back and will book again - You get what you pay for - they have the cleanest boat and put you on fish! super professional - they don't smoke they don't drink - they are in uniforms and are very polite to their guests
