Full of rocks at the bottom, I had my toes bloodied on two occasions. This is no beach, rather a marina. Do not waste your time comin here.

Where do I start. This is why we come to San Jose Del Cabo! You go with the focus to catch fish and God is good. The fisherman usually come back in the afternoon and weight their catch. You can find them in a certain location. They clean the fish for most fisherman and they walk around with wabsabi and... More

Beach is a bit dirty. There is a place to clean fish and scraggily grass to sit. There was rooster fighting down the street & some rides for kids.

We found Medano Beach too crowded and cold and ventured to La Playita. The water was warm compared to Medano, way less crowded and the kids could play easily in the water and in the sand. Families arrive mid-day and there's a covered area where it looks like you can clean fish. Bathrooms were clean. Bring an umbrella for shade.... More

My husband and my son had an excellent time fishing. We took their catch to a local restaurant, they prepared it for u,s it was delicious.

If you want to stay close, this is a good swimmable beach (near the breakwater). There a few good restaurants within walking distance, and my son enjoyed checking out the yachts and research vessels in the marina.

My friends and I go fishing out of the Marina four or five times a year. Been fishing from there long before the marina was built. The marina was only a couple of years finished when badly damaged by the last major hurricane. It is 90% back to normal. I usually fish with Modesto or his son's Denny or Adrian.... More

This is a fishing town. The view used to be great but the Hotel Ganzo ruined that. It's a huge, ugly structure right on the waterfront ruining the view from most restaurants. The fish stations are enjoyable to watch the catches of the day come in. If you are there about 1 pm the fishing boats are coming in with... More

My husband and I stay at the Grand Mayan. We have walked to this beach along the ocean - about 1.5 hour walk. And we have walked over the bridge which is easier because of the solid ground (about 1 hour). Or as people write you can take an inexpensive city bus over the bridge or if you have a... More

A 20 min. inexpensive bus ride from Mega store. Got off at the hotel and walked to beach and were awestruck with the beautiful huge beach with fine, soft sand in places black sand. You can walk for miles. Very quiet, few people, and those there were local families fishing and enjoying the ocean. Peaceful, romantic setting, beautiful and well... More
