This is a hidden gem, I recommend entering this from the marina side if possible. You are able to rent bikes there and go through the whole park. This is also attached to the Sculpture garden at Puerto Los Cabo and the Lenora Carrington Collection. If you enter through the Cactus garden it is a long hot walk to at... More

Wirikuta Garden is not open on Sundays (although some guidebooks suggest that it is). You can take a taxi there from San Jose square or the Hotel District for about $10 US. It is also easily reached by bus (btw, the local bus is cheap, 20 pesos, and easy to use). There is a fee to see the gardens, but... More

My wife and I visited Wirikuta garden, arriving at the same time as another family. Since we don't speak Spanish very well (OK not really at all), our guide, Juanito, did the tour alternating between Spanish and English; keeping everyone engaged and teaching us a lot about cactus from all over the world. The garden is impressive in its variety... More

Didn't think I'd have so much fun at a cactus farm but sure enough it's a great experience. And a terrific backdrop for selfies. Juanito was an amazing guide, knowing all the scientific names for the more than 7,000 varieties of cacti in the garden. Had great insight on the Kora people who cultivate this land and the history of... More

The Wirikuta Gardens were recommended by someone at our resort. The $8.00 fee per adult was well worth it. We had a45 minute private tour by Juan who was very knowledgeable and quite personable. A beautifully designed garden on the road to the marina a real plus to San Jose del Cabo.

We have driven past this place numerous times over the past few years without stopping in. The place always seemed interesting from the road, but once you enter it is even more captivating. There are scores of cacti from around the world, and if you stay in Mexico you can even purchase small versions of many of the specimens. The... More

Ms. Carrington's amazing sculptures are displayed around the very tony marina. Just start walking by The Container restaurant (good but pricey happy hour, BTW), and you are in for a treat. Every 40-50' there is another sculpture, and there are some amazing pieces there. Whimsical, sometimes strange, but always evocative. Well worth a side trip from San Jose del Cabo... More

Despite many of the locals not realizing that this garden has re-opened after the destruction from Hurricane Odile in 2014, we had seen that this garden was open for public visits after reading several reviews on TA before we traveled to Cabo. After our lunch at Flora's Field Kitchen on 18 Feb 2016, we stopped here to enjoy the site... More

Lovely gardens, well maintained and knowledgeable staff. Good walk, wear full shoes as most of the walk is in sand/dirt. Wonderful art sculptures surround huge green space. Huge mango tree provides shaded area to sit at nice tables and chairs to cool down. Beautiful flowers, cacti from around the world.

My favorite part was the never ending sea of Barrel cacti. Very cool and I'm sure very expensive. The nursery is very cute because the baby cacti are so tiny. The statues are interesting and there are lots of secret passages. IT IS SO IRRITATING THAT THERE WERE NO SIGNS THAT WERE UP TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE TYPES OF CACTI... More
