The Catholic Church and Mission

A must to visit in the plaza of San Jose Del Cabo. The bell towers are still good shape and mass is held on a regular basis.

What a beautiful church in the heart of the San Jose del Cabo historic district. It was well worth the glorious walk to explore the district and take time out to visit the church and spend some quiet time inside perusing the interior. We loved the nativity scene in the square outside the church too.

Our tour director walked our group to this church for a self guided tour if we chose to see it. Pretty typical of churches is Mexico. Seemed to be very well maintain for its age.

We expected the Church to be more like a cathedral. It is very plain, both inside and outside. My wife didn't even want to take any pictures.

Fairly typical-looking 1700's Spanish church. Nice inside, and right next to the town square. We were told there is a very excellent men's choir that sings at the noon services on Sundays.

I walked into the town of San Jose del Cabo and in the town square I saw a Church and decided to go inside and take a look. It was very nice.

Small beautiful church/chapel built hundreds of years ago. The church has Spanish services. It takes no more than 10 minutes to look at all around but the architecture is beautiful all around. No tours but small plaque telling you information in English along with Spanish.

Centrally located across from the main plaza in town this "mission" is very beautiful and worth the visit. If you're lucky you might get to witness a wedding or baptism being preformed.

The tour guide for our excursion took us to this church before letting us walk around the town. This is apparently the oldest church in the area and it looked as if it were maintained pretty well for it's age. Be sure to check out the "interesting" mosaic above the front doors.

Wonderful old church on the main square in San Jose. Open all the time for sightseeing and reflection. Masses daily at 7am and 7pm
